A bucket list adventure worth every penny. Flown many times in Cessnas but first time in a float plane/sea plane. Built in 1957 ours was serial number 200 something out of 400 something ever built. Always felt super safe with some very impressive flying through, around, in Misty Fjords National Monument… the pictures do not do it justice.
Was incredible! I am actually afraid of heights & airplanes make me nervous but this was nothing like I had thought it would be. Smooth flying and incredibly smooth take off and landing! Once in the air you are overwhelmed by the incredible views that thoughts of the height literally escaped my mind! I would do this again and again. Staff and pilot were wonderful!
Great, Great scenic flight. Paul our pilot was a very smooth operator. I would recommend going through Viator if you go.
We flew with a two year old and it was seamless from beginning to end. Our pilot, Max, was top notch - never had a care in the world! Overall great experience!
I flew with Magie, who was very pleasend enough but she had her dad with her who was sitting in the front with her, and they mostly spoke among themselves. no explanation to the passengers at all. we flew an hour and nothing was shared to us about the flying or where we were. I was very disappointed for sure. the flight in it self was great, but sure would of loved some information where we were flying over.
From pick-up to drop-off and all points in-between, the staff was timely, courteous and very helpful. Then there is the flight itself with Paul, our pilot. We were is good hands, with a soundtrack and information about the area that enhances the visual experience - which spoke volumes on its own. Worth every penny for this hour long bird’s eye view of the Misty Fjord National Park and Ketchican area.
Beautiful scenery that you can only see by plane. The company was well organized and the flight was an hour long so the price reflected the cost of fuel, the pilot and miscellaneous expenses for the company. It is cheaper to book through Tripadvisor or another outside provider rather than through a cruise ship.
What a great experience we saw the wilderness of Alaska like not many people see it Our pilot was phenomenal wish I could remember his name, I have been in many small engine planes with lots of pilots, I watched this guys touch on the throttles and pitches and he was obviously an expert with years of experience and loved his job. . And his narrative was as good as his flying Also I have never flown in a beaver which is one of the most iconic great north airplanes of all times BONUS This was so worth the cost we did 5 or 6 excursions in Alaska and this was by far our favorite
Our pilot Max is very skilled at flying a plane. We felt very safe throughout the whole trip. It was the smoothest landing we have ever experienced. He did a nice job telling us what we were looking at and what was coming up soon. Alaska is a beautiful and peaceful place.
The tour was a great way to see the Misty Fjords National Monument. I realize overhead for running a business like this is not cheap, but I felt it was a bit pricey for about an hour of flying. The pilot was friendly and did his best to make the experience very enjoyable. While a tour like this can accommodate people with disabilities, it does require climbing into a small space. If the person is feeble or not steady on their feet, they should potentially consider something else. Overall, the tour was worthwhile to see a great, natural wonder from the air.
