Tour guide was very knowledgeable; art and architecture were amazing. It was unbelievably hot. No a/c, no water, very crowded. Lots of walking including many stairs, which is fine if you have no disabilities but not if you do.
Excellent tour guide (Maximo) was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. He made our experience all the our enjoyable. Very smooth booking process and would definitely use again.
Very good tour with Nadia. High season for tours meant lots of quick walking, but excellent comments along the way. Stopped at most important exhibits. Excellent pre-talk about Sistine Chaple at displays in garden at beginning of the tour. Really gave us the info on where and how to look at Michelangelo’s masterpieces. Thank you.
Great tour. We didn’t want to spend all day here. We just wanted a short tour since this isn’t necessarily our cup of tea. But we figured it was a must see. The tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Massimo was awesome. He made the tour enjoyable, fun and all around excellent. We learned so much about the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Massimo.
We had an excellent tour guide, Nadya. She was very knowledgeable and informative. She kept the group together very well for being as crowded as it was. We got to see highlights of the different museum artifacts and art. The Sistine Chapel was amazing. The tour also included entrance to St. Peter’s basilica. There is a lot of walking so be prepared when you go with good walking shoes.
Our tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel was excellent! Chiara, our guide, was amazing. She is articulate, witty, entertaining, and deeply knowledgeable. If you can imagine leading and inspiring, not merely holding together, a sundry group of tourists, some from Alabama, some from California, some from Massachusetts, some from Bristol, and some from Yorkshire, and with some of us being just a bit on the senior side, all within a meandering crowd of thousands of other tourists, and managing this with grace and kindness, stopping to explain and take questions throughout the museum, all the while keeping everyone happy, then you begin to get the picture. Libby and I would follow Chiara anywhere!
Nadya was an amazing tour guide with Italia Tours. Highly recommend her. she is gracious, very experienced and knows her stuff!
This was a great way to see the highlights of the museum, Sistene Chapel & Basilica. Our guide Chiara did an amazing job informing us of all the history while keeping a great pace. Would recommend to everyone! Ask for Chiara!
Tour guide was late. Some info was incorrect. Nothing fast about anything she did that day. We left the tour after an hour and went on our own. Saw the Sistine chapel and went to the Vatican where the pope was speaking that day. An amazing experience was only had because we left this tour. Waste of money
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations and that you felt it was a waste of time. We would like to clarify a few points, however. The guide began the tour at the scheduled departure time, shortly after all guests had checked in with our on-site coordinator. Additionally, the tour you booked has a set duration of 2.5 hours, which the guide is required to follow to ensure a complete and consistent experience for all participants. If you prefer a faster pace or more flexibility, we recommend considering a self-guided tour in the future, which may better suit your travel style. We do hope the rest of your journey was enjoyable and that you had a memorable experience visiting the Vatican.
