Conoceremos los principales puntos turísticos, empezando por la antigua llamada “Ciudad Vieja” hoy también centro financiero, comenzamos por uno de los edificios mas representativos y sede del Banco Republica y a metros la Iglesia De San Francisco de Asís; proseguimos a Plaza Zabala con su Palacio Taranco hoy museo de Artes Decorativas; recorremos la calle rincón que cuenta con los principales bancos; Edificio de la Bolsa de Valores; Edificio Artigas llegando hasta la Plaza Matriz; veremos desde la plaza El Cabildo monumento Histórico Nacional; la Catedral Matriz. La construcción de la Plaza Independencia en el espacio ocupado por la antigua Ciudadela fue una idea llevada a cabo por el arquitecto Carlo Zucchi en el año 1837, cuando se decidió ampliar la antigua ciudad colonial, como parte de un plan ordenador de conjunto. Informaremos porque se encuentran ornamentada con 33 palmeras, en homenaje a los Treinta y Tres Orientales participantes de la Cruzada Libertadora. Desde la Plaza podremos apreciar el Palacio Salvo, el Teatro Solis, la Torre Ejecutiva, el Palacio Estevez y la antigua Puerta de la Ciudadela.
El Palacio Legislativo es el palacio sede del Poder Legislativo de Uruguay. Allí funciona la Asamblea General, que se integra de dos cámaras que sesionan separada o conjuntamente según las circunstancias: la Cámara de Representantes y la Cámara de Senadores. La construcción de la obra estuvo a cargo del arquitecto italiano Gaetano Moretti, quien contó con la colaboración del arquitecto uruguayo Eugenio Baroffio.
El Mercado Agrícola de Montevideo es uno de los más grandes mercados agrícolas de Montevideo. En 2006, el Mercado Agrícola volvió a ser propiedad de la Intendencia de Montevideo y está comenzó a proyectar su reconstrucción, proyecto que fue acompañado de un proceso de revitalización de toda la zona circuncidante. Promoviendo también una recuperación urbana y repoblamiento del barrio.
La obra está inspirada en los gauchos, en la vida rural y en el antiguo transporte de carga previo a la llegada del automóvil y el ferrocarril.
El Estadio Centenario es un estadio de fútbol que se encuentra entre los que alojaron la Copa Mundial. Primer estadio mundialista.

El barrio se convirtió en la zona residencial más lujosa de la ciudad, en donde habita en gran parte la clase alta de la ciudad. En el norte Pierre Durandeau plantó miles de árboles y desarrolló el actual parque Rivera. Carrasco se extendió hacia la exclusiva zona de Miramar, donde funcionó un gran hotel convertido actualmente en la Escuela Naval, y hacia el norte en barriadas populares e industriales como Carrasco Norte y Paso Carrasco. La Rambla de Montevideo encuentra en Carrasco una de sus manifestaciones más logradas desde el punto de vista paisajístico. Playa Carrasco, toma aérea, Montevideo, Uruguay El Hotel Carrasco fue renovado y es operado por la cadena hotelera francesa Sofitel.
Al final del tour en Sofitel Montevideo Carrasco, los pasajeros pueden optar por volver al hotel o quedarse en el Mercado del Puerto (retorno por su cuenta)

The chief problem with the tour was that we were staying in the first hotel among the Pickup points, so we traveled in two different buses for an hour and a half to more than a dozen hotels across the city before the tour even began. The least the tour company could do is alert you to the fact that half of the tour will be sitting on a bus and picking up other passengers. The tour itself was just OK. The tour guide spoke in English, Spanish, and Portuguese alternately rather than speaking in English, which was our expectation having checked English when requesting the tour language. The tour didn’t cost very much, and we didn’t get very much.
Hello, you purchased a REGULAR tour, which means it operates with more people and guests staying in different hotels. I believe that, given your location, it would be best to purchase a PRIVATE tour. Your hotel is 22 km from the tour starting point, and our company will pick you up at your hotel to meet you for the tour and avoid delays in getting there with the tour vehicle. Otherwise, it would take us almost two hours to begin. The itinerary you booked clearly indicates that the tour is REGULAR.

Despite the really bad weather this was a very good and concise city tour of Montevideo. Our guide gave a lot of information and spoke perfect English. If you just want to see the main sights of the city in a few hours i recommend this tour.

This was a good introduction to the city and gave us many ideas of what else we could explore. It was a bit of extra bus time, but still enjoyable.
The tour is 3 hours, gives us a panoramic view of the city, Carmem a very nice people and Marcelo the driver too.

This is a bus tour in multiple languages together. I believe there are 6 stops. It is useful on the first day of a visit to Montevideo to see some noteworthy buildings and plazas. However, the guide only provided info while in the bus and everything had to be said 3 times, so the information was a but limited. It would have been better if the speaking was also done outside and went beyond basic facts about each place. I would have preferred a walking tour of the old city.
