Nice tour- shame about the guide

The over all tour was good, places we visited was great. It was let down by tour guide. No real information was given only where we would park and where the restroom are. Would liked a little more about the places.

It was an amazing day the autumn colours at the top of the mountain were stunning and Joyce our guide was excellent translating in 3 different languages. The tree top walk was excellent and the climb up the tower was really worth it to see the 360 degree spectacular views of the autumn 🍂 colours 🇦🇺

One day visit to Mount Tremblant

If you are in Montreal, one day visit to Mt Tremblant is a must even if it is in Summer. One can travel to Mt Tremblant on a personal car in around 90 minutes.

Recommended, book activities at Mont Tremblant in advance

This day trip takes you Mont Tremblant, Mont Blanc & St Sauveur. There’s a few things I wish I’d known before I went as a solo traveller on this trip in Autumn (Oct 2025). I expected Mont Tremblant to be busy as it was a public holiday but it was ridiculously busy. Before you go, please be aware that while there are a lot of activities you can do when you arrive, (luge riding, kids trampolining etc) trying to book tickets to any of these when you arrive is really not possible, without spending a very long time in very long queues. If you want to do any activities, research beforehand what you want to do and pre-book your tickets. The same goes for lunch, there are lots of options, but with the amount of people at MT, I’d strongly recommend a lunch reservation in advance. This tour offered an optional cable car to the top, with the tour guide saying there was also a walking track (no explanation of it given), I opted for the track, and while I did it part way, it requires proper walking gear and an above average fitness. On an unseasonably warm Autumn day I can’t say it was easy. Next time I’d do the cable car. We were at Mont Tremblant for 3+ hours and it felt too long (except I suppose if you were one of the hundreds waiting a long time for tickets to the activities). If you haven’t prebooked tickets to activities, once you have done the walking track/cable car to the top, and had some lunch, there’s not much else to do. The shops are very ordinary, mostly ski gear. I saw nothing worth browsing or buying. After Mont Tremblant we headed to Mont Blanc, which has a beautiful tree top walk with fantastic views. The drive there was weird. Neither the tour guide nor the bus driver seemed to know the way from MT to MB. We took a disastrous wrong turn, which ended with the bus on a narrow back street, unable to get through a height limited tunnel and the bus driver having to complete a miraculous multi point turn to get out of the sticky situation. We then took another wrong turn at which point it was getting ridiculous. I really felt for the driver as the tour guide did not seem to know where she was going. We finally made it to MB but due to the multiple wrong turns, we were cut really short at our last stop, St Sauveur arriving as all the little shops were closing and with only 30 minutes to look around. Other reviews say this village isn’t worth it, but I thought it was very sweet little village and so the 30 minutes was disappointing. It would have been nice to spend time there, browse the stores and sit and have a drink in one of the pubs. Overall, this is a long day, but well worth it. I’d recommend ensuring in advance you have plenty to do at MT as, for a solo traveller, I felt it was too long. Also, this tour is more like an accompanied bus drive than a tour. The tour guide read out the description of the tour from the Viator website and that was all the information we got across the whole day. Nothing else is provided on the area, or where we are going, hence why it’s not really a tour. I would also encourage the tour guides/drivers to actually know where they are going in advance. I felt so sorry for the bus driver - that multi turn to get us out of the mess when the tour guide tried a short cut was miraculous.

Beautiful Colors, but not a great tour

While the fall colors were beautiful. The tour was unsatisfactory for several reasons: 1. Promised prompt departure at 8:00. We waited for other guests to get to the meeting point. 2. The guide offered no narrative on any points of interest 3. While I appreciate that he could speak 3 languages (French, Mandarin and English), he spent the majority of the time speaking Mandarin 4. Time at last 2 stops could be shortened 5. Instructions were hard to understand 6. When we booked, we were told we would end at 5:00. Ended at 7:00 6. Booked with Viator, but the tour was subcontracted to another company

Not enough of a...

Not enough of a description of what would be experienced was given. Tour said 10 hours....it took 12. Too much time was spent at places where there was very little to do other than sit. The director told us the day before the tour, that we needed to be at a departure address when we had paid for pick up/drop off at hotel. We had to insist on pick up...and ended up walking back to our hotel after the tour. Would not recommend this tour.

Mont Tremblant was very crowded and not much time to explore, but overall was a fun day. The Mont Blanc stop was amazing as well as the small town stop.

The tree top walk was very nice but Mont Tremblac is highly overrated. Unless you go hiking the only thing thing to do is visit restaurants.

Unsafe tour bus with no seat belts

The tour bus was filthy and has no seat belts. There was also an amber warning light illuminated on the drivers dashboard yet they still used that old dangerous bus for the tour. The tour bus had no suspension. It rained for a lot of the day and this led to part of the tour being cancelled, which was very disappointing. For safety please ensure your tour bus is fitted with seat belts and do not use a tour bus that has amber warning lights illuminated on the dashboard. Customer safety and comfort must come before your profit margins.
