Salga de Barcelona y regrese al pasado en esta excursión para grupos pequeños por los pueblos medievales de Cataluña. Visite los magníficamente conservados pueblos de Besalú y Tavertet y aprenda hechos interesantes sobre estos lugares históricos de boca de su guía. Dispondrá de tiempo libre en Rupit para ver la iglesia barroca de Sant Miquel y tomar un tradicional almuerzo catalán (no incluido en el precio) en un restaurante de la zona. Disfrute de las vistas de los restos del Castillo de Rupit, Castellfollit de la Roca y los acantilados de arenisca de Cingles de Tavertet. 8.15am: comenzará su día en nuestra oficina principal, que se encuentra justo al lado del famoso Palau de la Música. Conocerá a su guía, tendrá tiempo para usar los baños y tal vez incluso tomar un café rápido antes de comenzar el recorrido. Su guía le explicará todo sobre el día que tiene por delante y qué esperar mientras espera que salga su recorrido.
8.30am - Saldrás de Barcelona por el distrito Ejemplo de la ciudad. Cuando salga de la ciudad, su guía le dará una breve historia de Barcelona, antes de permitirle sentarse y relajarse en el viaje de 90 minutos a Besalú.
10.00am - El encantador pueblo medieval de Besalú es nuestra primera parada del día. Comenzará con un recorrido a pie por esta antigua ciudad, deteniéndose para admirar sus calles bordeadas de arquitectura de la época medieval. Tendrás tiempo libre para pasear por las calles estrechas o para encontrar un café apartado y sentarte a mirar pasar a la gente. Algunos de los aspectos más destacados para visitar son el puente medieval románico del siglo XII, el monasterio de San Pere del siglo XI y los baños judíos, también conocidos como Mikveh, que datan del siglo XII.
12.30pm - Desde Besalú, nos dirigiremos a Rupit. En el camino, pasaremos por Castellfollit de la Roca, ubicado en lo alto del borde de un precipicio de basalto. Es una de las ciudades más pequeñas de Cataluña con solo 1,000 habitantes que viven en solo 3,280 pies cuadrados (1,000 metros cuadrados)
13:00 - Una vez en Rupit, tendrá alrededor de dos horas para pasear por esta hermosa aldea a su antojo. Podrá pasear por las calles empedradas bordeadas de casas del siglo XVI, cruzar el puente colgante de madera de la ciudad y visitar la Iglesia de Sant Miquel de la época barroca de Rupit. Aquí también es donde almorzarás. Hay varios restaurantes tradicionales para elegir. Su guía estará encantado de ayudarlo, o incluso hacer una reserva para usted. Después del almuerzo, puede visitar las ruinas del Castillo de Rupit en un pintoresco pico rocoso, o incluso puede hacer un picnic y comer afuera. Desde Rupit, tomamos un paseo panorámico hacia los acantilados de arenisca en Cingles de Tavertet.
16:00 - En Tavertet, el último pueblo medieval que visitamos, disfrute de un corto paseo hasta los impresionantes acantilados con vistas al lago Pantà de Sau. Escuche algunos detalles sobre el pueblo de su guía antes de visitar la Iglesia románica de Sant Cristòfol del siglo XI.
5.30pm: finalice su viaje con un viaje de regreso a Barcelona, durante el cual podrá disfrutar de vistas de bosques verdes como Magatalls, junto con el parque natural de El Montseny, protegido por la Biosfera y el hombre de la UNESCO.
6.45pm - Después de un día retrocediendo en el tiempo, llegaremos a Barcelona alrededor de las 6.45pm. Su guía lo ayudará a encontrar un taxi o el camino al metro para regresar a su hotel, o recomendarle algunos restaurantes donde cenar.

We very much enjoyed this tour and the cost was reasonable. It was a small group of 7 of us in a van fairly nice van. The villages were well worth the trip and Carme (sp?) did a fantastic job! She provided us a background on the area we were traveling through and told us about each village for a little while when we arrived at each location. Then we had a some time to explore on our own. The villages were quiet and the history was fantastic. Carme made sure we were comfortable, keep things moving in a timely way, made it fun, and provided exactly the right amount of information and direction. She even stopped once to let us view a village across the way that was built out on a peninsula like cliff, and then another time so we could look out over the mountains. It was beautiful. My one complaint was that, although she was a careful driver, she went pretty fast on those mountain curves. I guess she is used to that kind of driving. If we are ever in Barcelona again, we will do another day trip with this company.
Our guide was fantastic. The villages were absolutely stunning with just about the right amount of time spent at each village.
Quite a long day but very interesting. Beautiful views towards the pyrenees and picturesque villages visited. Older people may find some of the walking/steps difficult (we are in our 70s and reasonably fit). Our guide, Stephen was very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the day

As the title says, I was blown away by this tour. It was a small tour with myself, 2 other people and our guide. She truly went above and beyond to ensure we learned about the history and culture of the villages we saw, and to help us feel comfortable. At the end of the tour we all hugged - honestly I have traveled for several decades and this was the first time this has happened. 5 stars.

Our tour guide, Berta, was absolutely fantastic! She took the time to explain the history in great detail, making every stop interesting and engaging. She also shared excellent recommendations for things to do during our free time, as well as the best places to eat and visit around Barcelona. One of the highlights of the tour was sampling delicious local food and drinks unique to Barcelona. Berta even took photos for us, which was a thoughtful touch. Throughout the tour, she regularly checked to make sure everyone was comfortable, asking if anyone needed a bathroom break, had food allergies, or was feeling dizzy or nauseous so she could take the necessary precautions. The small group size made the experience even better, allowing everyone to hear her clearly, ask questions, and truly enjoy each part of the tour. Overall, it was an amazing experience, well worth the trip, and one I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona.
What a fantastic tour! Make sure you are aware this is definitely a walking tour on a bunch of uneven ground, if you wanna get the most of it! Stunning Settings, delicious foods, and nice friendly interactions with everyone involved. Our tour guide, Jerome, beyond helpful, friendly, courteous, and overall a nice guy! Driving through the mountains was a breeze, and he took time to make sure we stopped and took beautiful pictures!
