La antigua ciudad amurallada de Girona se alza sobre una colina fortificada, muy por encima de la confluencia de los ríos Onyar y Ter. Como capital provincial tiene una larga y distinguida historia. Fundada por íberos, los romanos la llamaron Gerunda y la establecieron como un importante punto de parada en la Vía Augusta, que une Iberia con Roma. La enorme catedral del siglo XV, que cuenta con el arco gótico sin soporte más ancho del mundo, domina el horizonte, sin embargo, gran parte de la atracción de la ciudad radica en explorar las calles medievales, especialmente alrededor del encantador barrio judío. Podrás cruzar el río Onyar a través del puente construido por Gustave Eiffel "Pont de les Peixeteries Velles" uno de los monumentos más poblados de la ciudad. Esta extensa visita (unas 3 horas) te mostrará los monumentos más importantes de Girona, su historia, su patrimonio judío y también sus Leyendas. This tour was very interesting, and just the right amount of time. Going at 6pm was great - not as crowded in the streets and a little cooler. Laia was a fabulous guide! She provided fabulous restaurant recommendations too!
Gerald was absolutely fantastic! We had a last-minute change of plans and he guided us seamlessly through the city, showing exceptional patience with my elderly mother - slowing his pace and taking the time to thoroughly answer every question she had. We walked the full allotted time, yet it never felt tiring thanks to his smooth, comfortable pace. One heads-up: parking in the area is quite limited and the streets stay busy, so I'd recommend arriving early and budgeting extra time to find a spot near the meeting point. We came away with a wealth of knowledge about Girona's architecture, legends, and history. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an enriching tourist experience!

We did the tour with Quim who was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour which he worked well into the history facts. Without this maybe all the facts could have ended up a bit ‘dry’. The town is very small and it’s easy to navigate and walk around. Do this early and it will help with your bearings. Would highly recommend.
