Medellín Street Food Tour

We went on the coffee farm tour with David. It was hands down one of the best tours we have ever taken, and we have taken quite a few. We were staying in Medellin, and their directions on where to meet were easy to follow and then David took us the rest of the way to the farm. I never knew there was so much involved in getting a roasted coffee bean into my cup of coffee! The farm itself is beautiful and in a spectacular area. Clearly the people who work (and live) there are passionate about coffee. We not only learned about coffee production, but also the history of coffee in Colombia. I highly recommend this tour if you want to spend time outside of the city experiencing a small coffee farm that is committed to teaching both Colombians and others about good quality coffee. They also are passionate about the environment, so no pesticides/herbicides--this is not a commercial operation--this is stewardship of the land while letting coffee plants grow naturally. This was our favorite part of our trip to Colombia! Thank you David and everyone at La Mesa!
