I recommend this coffee tour because it was lively, international and very accommodating. I booked with the option to pick up at a hotel near where I was staying. When I was contacted the day of to confirm pick up by the driver, he ended up coming right to my door. (Pick up and drop off). It was great! At the farm you get a lot of interaction from the guide and learn a lot about the coffee preparation and flavors. Daniella was great! Couldn’t say enough great things about her. If you have about 4/5 hours to fill - book this experience!
I recommend it, they are very friendly. Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽
Enjoyable tour. They picked us up at our Airbnb along with others. Drove to starting point and walked or have the option to take horseback. Definitely recommend sneakers - shoes with grip for walk along with picking coffee beans. Fun learning about the entire process from seedling to roasting. Next was the different type of brewing from various countries. Leaned about how to recognize type of coffee you’re drinking. Topped it off with a tasty authentic Colombian lunch. Our guide Mateo (I believe) was knowledgeable and made it fun. Recommend this tour especially if you enjoy coffee or curious how it’s processed.
To start, the driver came to pick us up at the hotel as agreed; he had contacted us the day before (photo of the car / license plate, etc.. everything was squared away and secure). We arrived on site to do the coffee tasting: after a quick presentation, we put on a poncho and traditional hat to go pick coffee beans. Next, our guide described the different coffee beans that can be found as well as the stages of bean maturity. We discovered several techniques for making coffee, followed by tastings. To finish, a good meal was served to us with a superb view of the mountain. A mandatory stop at the souvenir shop where the prices are reasonable. Special mention to our guide/barista and his assistant who spoke very good English. To wrap up: it was a great day to discover a coffee plantation near Medellin in one morning! The little extra: we were a small group with an English-speaking guide and we left with a small souvenir gift!
This was such a fun experience. Don’t be alarmed by a message that a driver (not a van) is picking you up because it will be clear when you get there that a typical tourist van wouldn’t be able to get up the coffee farm road. David was a great driver and communicated well despite the language gap. As for the farm, well it’s hard to describe but it’s a must do experience and I’ll never look at coffee the same. I learned so much and we were able to taste coffee brewed in new ways. I also really enjoyed the humor used to deliver the detail of the coffee growing experience. The whole experience was top notch and I would absolutely recommend this experience to my own family and friends.
To learn more about how coffee is grown and processed was a unique experience. Since then I’ve learned new ways to appreciate the art of making coffee
Mateo explained the whole process to us and it was very fun. A great experience, highly recommended!
THE POSITIVE Very small group, basically private, which is really cool! The driver was very kind, a very good driver, and law-abiding (his professionalism stands out, given the terrible lawless traffic in Bogotá). Five stars. The explanations were excellent, with a tasting and everything. The fiambre paisa, delicious Going to pick the beans, a great experience. CAUTION, for people with mobility issues or poor balance, I would recommend skipping this part. The coffee is very good. CAUTION, at first we thought it was expensive because it was directly from a tour, but upon arriving in the city we saw that it was not! So don't make our mistake and take advantage! THE NEGATIVE The company had many communication problems. I had to give my location to 4 different people because they can't agree on who is coming, at what time, nor do they share the location among themselves. Individually they work very well, but internal communication is something they must correct. CONCLUSION I do definitely recommend taking the tour, I just hope the company pays attention to communication, because at the beginning we were so annoyed that they stood us up that we were going to rate them poorly, it was the kindness of the driver and the beautiful tour that calmed us down.
It is a complete learning and tasting experience. The estate is beautiful. The mountains and the surrounding nature are spectacular. Their employees are very kind, attentive, and friendly. Mateo, our coffee master, is very knowledgeable and knows how to teach. They are very organized. I recommend that if you have trouble walking, you take advantage of the offer to go up by donkey. If your physical problem is SERIOUS, you are not going to have a good time. The experience is deep in the countryside, a beauty. It is worth repeating.
Better vehicles and transport drivers.
Cordial saludo, hemos revisados su caso y no se evidencia de falla de frenos en ninguno de nuestros vehículos. Por otro lado, sería bueno tener el nombre del conductor específicamente y dar un mejor análisis. Gracias
