Por la mañana, reúnase con su guía y diríjase a Teotihuacan. Durante aproximadamente 2 horas, explorará tranquilamente la zona arqueológica y verá las impresionantes Pirámides del Sol y la Luna, caminará por la famosa Calzada de los Muertos y visitará el hermoso Templo de Quetzalpapalotl y otros lugares de interés de esta antigua ciudad. Después del recorrido, regrese a nuestro vehículo y relájese en el camino de regreso a la Ciudad de México.
Tula fue la capital del estado tolteca, fue uno de los principales centros urbanos del Altiplano Central de Mesoamérica alrededor del año 1000 dC junto con Tenochtitlan y Teotihuacan, y probablemente fue la ciudad más grande de esta región. El centro cívico mayor consiste en una gran plaza bordeada por un lado por un templo piramidal de cinco escalones, que probablemente estuvo dedicado al dios Quetzalcóatl. Otras estructuras incluyen un complejo palaciego, otros dos templos-pirámides y dos canchas de pelota.
El Museo Nacional de Antropología contiene la colección más grande del mundo de arte mexicano antiguo y también tiene exhibiciones etnográficas sobre los grupos indígenas de México en la actualidad. Exhibidas en dos grandes pisos, estas exhibiciones muestran restos humanos antiguos y objetos de arte. Entre sus exhibiciones destacadas se encuentran el “Grupo de Figuras” de la cultura olmeca y la “Piedra del Sol” azteca de 22 toneladas, que representa la historia del mundo.

5 stars for our guide Sal but overall 4 stars because you simply can’t do all three things in a day given local traffic. We did Teotihuacan first, then Tula and by the time we got to the anthropology museum it was one hour until it closed so we have to go back again tomorrow. Your best bet is to find a tour that cuts out Tula and just does Teotihucan and the Museum. Tula has cool warrior statues but not much else you won’t see at Teotihuacan so it’s not worth the extra hour’s drive there and then two hours back to the museum. Also, there seems to be some disconnect between what the tour promises and what it delivers. When we booked our confirmation it said they’d pick up at our hotel but the day before we were told we had to walk to a central meeting point. Not far for us but the bait and switch could have been really inconvenient in other circumstances. Also the tour we signed up for promised complimentary snacks and non alcoholic beverages so I didn’t pack any but none were offered. Also because we were running late to the museum we only had time to stop and buy snacks, no lunch. Try to pack less into the day and you’ll be completely satisfied with Sal as your awesome guide.

Great trip ! We had a very good guide ! Teotichuacan is amazing. Tula also and the museum is a must when in CDMX. The guide knew a lot of the history and this his very best to give us a great day. There was a traffic jam returning from Tula so we did not have a lot of time to visit the museum but he took us to the best points of interest. Thank you again for the lovely day !

Ari was an amazing guide! She and the driver picked me up early in the morning and we spent the day fully immersed in conversations about the anthropology and archeological history of Mexico. Although I had read a lot, I walked away with a completely new perspective that was fuller and richer. This is a very deep experience for anyone who has a real curiosity about Mexico’s indigenous cultures and anthropology. I could easily have spent many more hours if the day had more hours! A truly once in a lifetime experience. Ari even offered tips for restaurants and street food. I highly recommend this tour and especially, Ari!
