This was a jammed packed day but so relaxing at the same time. Our tour guide (Nichola) met us right at the train platform and showed us around all day dropping us off right back at the platform making for a stress free day. Although a long day with a lot to see - it was well planned. The morning filled with a lot of walking through the less busy parts of town (with breaks for gelato as needed!) but then a nice relaxing lunch and a rest for your feet for the remainder of the day as you are on a private taxi boat to see other islands and the more crowded touristy parts of Venice. A perfect tour of your only have a day to visit this magical city.
We had an amazing day. Nicola was awesome. He picked us up right at our hotel. We had a few older people with some mobility issues and he was very good at pacing and helping them up and down the bridges. He was very knowledgeable about so many aspects of Venice. We loved talking to him at lunch about his travels and family life in Italy. I can't recommend this tour enough. Ask for Nicola!
We had an incredible full-day tour of Venice and Murano with Matteo! From the moment we met him, he was warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of Venice. He took us through beautiful hidden corners of the city that we never would have found on our own, while also covering the iconic landmarks in a way that felt personal and engaging. The Murano portion of the tour was a highlight — watching the glass-blowing demonstration was fascinating, and Matteo gave us great insight into the island’s traditions and craftsmanship. What really made the experience special was how relaxed and customized the day felt. Matteo was attentive, patient, and full of great recommendations. You can tell he truly loves what he does. This was one of the best tours we’ve ever taken and absolutely worth it for anyone wanting to experience the real Venice. Highly recommend Matteo — 5 stars all the way!
Wonderful walking tour with and grand canal boat cruise at the end to top off a great experience for the day
An amazing day with the perfect guide. Nico made everything incredible and pivoted on the fly with any change we wanted. He picked a wonderful restaurant filled with locals and the food was unbelievable. His knowledge of Venice and his passion are immeasurable. We were truly blessed to have him as a guide
Matteo gave Traci and me an amazing experience yesterday in Venice. He provided detailed information on the buildings, architecture and city infrastructure as well as stories of Venice's history and people. After a full morning of walking the cities streets and different districts we enjoyed a nice lunch and heard more of Matteo's story and his families many generations of Venetian history. In the afternoon we took a boat over to Murano to meet and watch the master glass artists. Their work is outstanding and hearing about the process was great, so talented. We ended the day with a boat ride through the grand canal. More interesting stories about the houses and families that owned them along with beautiful views. Overall an exceptional day we won't forget.
Our guide, Nico, met us at our hotel lobby. He was punctual. We spent 7-8 hours with him touring Venice walking and by boat. He took us out to a local Italian restaurant that was tasty! We learned a lot of interesting info and Nico shared local stories. Nico is a professional, he is kind and respectful. It was a treat to spend the day with him. Thank you Nico!
Stunning day with an amazing guide. Matteo met us right on time in our hotel lobby and brought us through ever nook and cranny of Venice, telling us stories about the history if the city and also making us laugh every step of the way. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch with each other and then took a private boat out to Murano where we had a lovely private tour of a glass factory. After that, we spent the afternoon on the grand canal via private boat with Matteo describing all of the sights in wonderful detail. I cant give any higher recommendation to this tour, and especially Matteo. He was the best guide we’ve ever had.
We did this tour with Lorenzo as our guide. In a very personal and competent way he brought us very close to Venice and let us immerse ourselves in the flair of the city. Individual wishes could be met at any time.
There’s so much to take in while In Venice! Our guide Nico, generational in the Venice area was fantastic, knowledgeable, and we weaved our way through many non-tourist areas to be educated along the many streets, canals, and the wonderful history and nuances of the city. We had a private boat to Murano, where we met and witnessed murano glass making from a renowned international Murano artist (43 years, 2nd generation. A small and very specialized award winning artist. Magnificent. Highly recommend Nico, and doing the private tours to really immerse into the local experience.
