Nuestro recorrido por el municipio es una experiencia curada y única de Katutura, el corazón de Windhoek. Ofrecemos encuentros sociales con los lugareños, compartimos una bebida y una comida rápida y satisfactoria en el increíble mercado de Oshetu para disfrutar de algunas delicias locales bien merecidas. El recorrido incluye información sobre la historia y la diversidad cultural de la población local, su forma de vida y los desafíos cotidianos. Usted es guiado por guías experimentados y locales. El recorrido se realiza de manera auténtica y solo con consentimiento y un verdadero encuentro con los lugareños. Itinerario
Nuestros guías se encontrarán con usted en el punto de partida (Craft Cafe). Comenzamos nuestro recorrido con un corto viaje en taxi a Pionierspark, la ubicación del asentamiento anterior.
Pasaremos por la antigua ubicación, que fue el asentamiento de la población segregada durante el apartheid en Namibia. Luego, la gente se vio obligada a trasladarse al norte de la ciudad.
El recorrido continúa hacia el nuevo asentamiento que se conoce como Katutura (el lugar en el que nadie quiere vivir). Conduciremos a través de diferentes partes del municipio para experimentar la diversidad en cultura y desarrollo. Visitaremos un proyecto social de base.
Terminamos nuestro recorrido con una verdadera experiencia auténtica: una visita al mercado de Oshetu en Single Quarters. Podrá experimentar las opciones de cocina local y pasear por las calles de Katutura con nuestros guías locales.

You don't need a tour for that. Just take a taxi and go there. Not so much to do or to see. A local market.

Throughout the tour, guests explore different areas of the township with knowledgeable local guides who provide insight into the history, culture, daily life, and development of the community. A key part of the experience is the opportunity for genuine social interaction with local residents, businesses, and families, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of life in Katutura beyond what they would typically experience on their own. The tour concludes with a visit to the local market, where guests can enjoy local food and drinks before returning to their accommodation. We had a great half day tour with Linda. We learned heaps about the history and historic places in Windhoek. Then she took us through Katatura and the market and sampled some delicious street food. Linda was fun to spend time with and gave us a great insight into the history and society of Namibia.we really enjoyed her company.

Our guide Linda is very kind and has a great knowledge about the history of Namibia. Very interesting to get a look at the origins of the republic and the different population groups. The tour in Katutura gave a good insight into the way of life and was, especially in the slums, quite a swallow.....
