Resumen de la excursión de un día a Sigiriya (1 día) Durante este tour de 1 día visitaremos las zonas de Sigiriya. Durante este tour iremos a los siguientes destinos - Templo Hindú Matale / Jardín de las Especias / Fortaleza de la Roca Sigriya / Templo de la Cueva Dambulla Los huéspedes recibirán vehículos cómodos y de buena calidad (el tipo de vehículo depende del número de personas) con un conductor para ayudar con su recorrido a Sigiriya.

Templo Muthumariamman o Arulmigu Sri Muthumari Amman Kovil es un templo hindú en Matale, Sri Lanka. El prefijo "Muthu", significa literalmente "perla". "Mari" significa lluvia y "Amman" significa madre en idioma tamil. El templo está dedicado a Mariamman, la diosa de la lluvia y la fertilidad.

Sigiriya o Sinhagiri es una antigua fortaleza rocosa ubicada en el distrito norte de Matale, cerca de la ciudad de Dambulla en la provincia central de Sri Lanka. El nombre se refiere a un sitio de importancia histórica y arqueológica que está dominado por una enorme columna de roca de casi 200 metros de altura.
El templo de la cueva de Dambulla también se conoce como el Templo Dorado de Dambulla, es Patrimonio de la Humanidad en Sri Lanka, situado en la parte central del país.

La hora de salida es alrededor de las 8:00am. Sin embargo, variaríamos esta vez dependiendo de la solicitud de los huéspedes. Pero sugerimos que la hora de Salida sea antes de las 10:00am como mínimo para que podamos completar lentamente todas las paradas del itinerario sin apresurarnos. Para que el guía turístico de habla Inglés pueda llegar al lugar de recogida (debe estar en Kandy), proporcione los detalles de la estancia al menos 1 hora antes de la hora de salida.

A excellent full days trip, driver Kavishan contacted us before to make sure when and where to be collected, our hotel was difficult to get close so decided a easier collection point, he was bang on time, exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly, full of local knowledge and happy to answer any questions, the tour itself was just right with local culture visiting matale (temple) Dambulla cave temple, ranweli spice garden which for us was perfect, and then finishing off with the must see Sigiriya lion rock - it’s a tough climb but well worth it to see the spectacular views ! Kavishan was helpful throughout the whole day, willing to stop anywhere and totally flexible, have been on numerous trips and he is by far one of the best guides/drivers we came across

What an absolutely incredible experience with Lanka Safe Tours! We booked the “Kandy to Sigiriya Day Tour and Dambulla Cave Temple with Private Vehicle” and from the very beginning to the very end, the service was exceptional. We booked late the night before but our driver was ready and waiting at 08:00 sharp. We went to Sri Muthumari Amman Kovil Hindu temple (3/5), spice gardens (4/6) the dambla temple (4/5) and sigiria (5/5)

We had a great day trip to Dambulla and Sigriya from kandy with Dinesh today. Dinesh was great from the time he picked us up from our hotel this morning until he dropped our hotel key off to us this evening. We had accidentally left in his car. Dinesh managed the sometimes chaotic traffic on this little gem of an island with confidence and ease, and we felt relaxed and safe with him at the wheel. You cant go wrong if you choose to drive with Dinesh. He is the best!

So, the not so good bits first. The description said guide included which seemed to infer we would have a guide at the temples and Sigiriya but these were extra cost if you wanted them. Minor point no water supplied as stated in description. Our driver Nazly was very good and we felt safe with his driving but he was not very talkative and didn’t point out much. Sigiriya is very busy so be prepared and do your research.

Excellent day trip from Kandy. We were able to view the temples, Ayurvedic spice garden and Sigiriya rock easily at a relaxed pace. Big thanks to our driver Fazli, who was an excellent and accommodating guide. He drove us safely, and chose some great places for us to eat breakfast and lunch when we were hungry, and went out of his way to buy us umbrellas when it started to rain. Highly recommend, thanks!
