I am very disappointed and angry. It was our last day in Panama and the only negative point of the trip. I chose this excursion, more expensive than other providers, because I had seen that many trips to Gatun Lake were reduced to feeding monkeys and I thought this agency was more ethical. Unfortunately, our morning consisted of looking for places where these poor animals could stop and feeding them. This practice is strictly prohibited; it harms the health of the animals and ecosystems, and it creates conflicts with humans because the animals become aggressive. However, tourists and guides sacrifice animal welfare in the name of a few photos (and the guides even encourage the animals to eat out of their hands). Our guide was very happy when, on 2 occasions, a monkey left with the peanut wrapper. When will there be responsible tourism?
Dear Elodie, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience, especially knowing it was your last day in Panama. We take your comments very seriously. What you described does not reflect the standards we expect from our team or the values we want to represent. We are deeply committed to responsible and sustainable tourism, and we sincerely apologize that we fell short on this occasion. We will be speaking with the guide involved immediately to better understand what happened. Feeding wildlife is not a practice we want to encourage, and we will reinforce our policies and training to help ensure this does not happen again. We genuinely appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Feedback like yours helps us improve and hold ourselves accountable. We regret that we let you down, and we hope the rest of your time in Panama was enjoyable despite this disappointing experience. Thank you again for your honesty.
I had a great tour with Panama Vibes Tours to Gatun Lake and Monkey Island. They couldn't have been nicer to deal with, accommodated my last minute solo trip and picked me up as planned right at 6:50am. They even managed to fit in some nice sightseeing stops along the way, from the Centennial Bridge, Pedro Miguel Locks, Gambia Hotel and more. The guide was funny, spoke English well and was very easy going...especially when our boat broke down and we had to wait for another boat to pick us up. They delivered on tons of monkeys, sloths, baby bats and harpy eagles. Just missing the toucans. I give them a 5/5.
This was an amazing experience. As a local who grew up in the Canal Zone, Richard was incredibly knowledgeable, authentic, and enjoyable to spend a morning with. We learned so much and truly enjoyed the experience. We saw all of the species we'd hoped for and more!
We had an amazing time today with Gill! He was knowledgeable and fun to be around. I highly recommend him as a tour guide. This tour was extra special because you and your family are the only ones on the tour. Definitely worth the extra money.
Thank you so much for the lovely review!
Alex was amazing! We did a private tour with 3 coworkers after our morning meetings. We got to see 3 kinds of monkeys during our boat tour and pass by container shops on the lake going through the canal. The short walk had more monkeys and a sloth up in the trees. Alex had a great vibe, high energy, great with the monkeys, and very knowledgeable. Ask for Alex!
Hi Elise! Thank you for the recommendation.
Richard was such a great guide. He was early picking us up but did not rush us out. He was so full of knowledge and info it blew us away. Also, his English is near perfect, which is helpful for those who don't speak Spanish well. He took us out and found so many animals for us to see. This activity is a boat ride followed by a walk through the rainforest on an old rock covered road. we continues to find a lot of great stuff and it was overall an amazing day. We liked Richard so much that we booked him for the following day. Everyone should travel with Richard while visiting Panama

Hi Jennifer, thank you for sharing your experience.
Rich is a pleasant, cultured individual who pays attention to detail. We saw monkeys, spectacular views, and learned a lot
Muchas gracias por compartir tu experience!
We did the Gutan Lake Cruise with Guided Jungle Adventure and had an amazing experience. Our guide Gill was very relaxed, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. He made the trip! We learned a lot during the tour and he gave honest answers to every question we had, including great tips for the rest of our travels in Panama. One of the main things I really wanted to see were crocodiles, and Gill really put in the effort to help us find them. In the end we succeeded and even spotted a baby crocodile, which was very special. We also saw monkeys and a sloth, and the scenery on the lake was absolutely beautiful. The whole tour was perfectly organized and felt very relaxed. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Panama, especially if you enjoy nature and wildlife.

Gil was an amazing tour guide! Definitely all the bang for the buck! We had a boat and car to ourselves. Jose our captain was super knowledgeable as well, knew the islands well! Gil had interesting facts from the time we started to the time he dropped us off to his friend at the Mecardo de marisco for an amazing lunch with his friend Ramon. 100% recommend this company!
Hi Chad! Wow, what a day! So glad you enjoyed the full experience with Gil and the team, sounds like an unforgettable one!
