The catamaran was very pleasant, the staff was incredible, very good service, the food is good, and the open bar is the best!
The island is beautiful, the color of the sea is impressive, the boat is spacious and the staff is fun, but the tour does not include a sun lounge or sunshine, just the restaurant tables. Read the small letters to find out you will pay more MX600 + USD20, much more than you paid online for the ride. Insisting on the end of the slice (“propine”) is quite unpleasant. Entrepreneurs: better pay those who run their business!
If I could give zero stars of how bad this was upon arrived to the terminal and asked us to pay $112 for me and my partner they said this ticket bought that I had was just a down payment don't buy from this sellers never did it says the ticket is not included. It’s just a down payment; be prepared to pay more money upon arrival. The indoor waiting area is super small and hot, with no indoor air circulation.
Dear Guadalupe , everything is state in your ticket an also in the listing.
An incredible tour, it was a very cool day, the service was the best, the food and the drink were very good! I highly recommend it to you!
Here is exactly what you need to know before booking this trip. Yes, the price is very reasonable, but as you may have seen, the other "dock" fees are quite excessive. As a solo traveler in late July, 2026, I paid $17.00 USD for the ticket. Amazing price. I was worried about these mysterious fees that I read about on other reviews, so I contacted Viator's help line. They were ZERO help, only responding with a vague no-answer, stating that that question was out of their scope. Ultimately they gave me the direct phone number to the vendor, but alas, they were closed and I have to call them in the morning. That I did. Many times, only to be greeted with a ring-no answer. So, do I take a chance on the Uber, and then decide at the marina whether to go or not? That's what I did, but the dock fees for me, one traveler, were an additional $53.00 USD. One person - $53.00 extra and I've got the receipts to prove it. I've done this exact trip before with a different vendor and even with the extra money, it might be worth it, so off I went on the Ventus tour boat. And I have got to tell you, this was a second class experience compared to my previous trip. The host, the man with the microphone, did not fully engage those non-Spanish speakers with detailed instructions. He'd go on for 3 or 4 minutes in Spanish and then state in English -make sure you're back at the boat at 3:20 p.m. As non Spanish speaking guests, I felt as if we weren't getting the complete info we needed. My previous trip allowed us to have our choice of daybeds on the beach with trees and shade and umbrellas now additional charge. This trip only provided beach. No shade, no trees. Yes, we could rent two chairs and an umbrella for $40 for 2 hours, but I chose not to. The open bar was limited for only a few hours. And the buffet was as boring and uninteresting as you can imagine. A few salads, some tacos and some of the lowest level, most bland pasta dishes that they could get away with. Previously, the open bar remain available all day, as did a huge variety of buffet foods. When lunch closed we were expected to go spend some time on the main street downtown, which I did. And I love these Mexican shops, they're so interesting, so lively and so rich with culture. Always a delight. To the tour's credit, as the alcohol kicked in with the guests on the return, the music played loud and guests were ready and excited to engage in dancing and Congo lines, and more cerveza and having fun with one another. More great cultural experiences. Would I recommend this tour? No. Having done a first class tour, this paled in comparison. Whatever hospitality they tried to muster up, felt manufactured. They fell short on the key factors, open bar, buffet, and beach time.
AMAZING CREW! Bilingual tour guide to help everyone clearly understand what will be taking place. Very energetic and funny
We paid on viator what was advertised as a pretty steep discounted rate. After booking on violator we received a confirmation that included a balance of $600 pesos per person plus an additional $20US dollars person. Which was not mentioned in initial booking process. The catamaran was overbooked. There was no space for everyone to sit comfortably on the benches, we were asked to sit on the floor. My guess is they also did not have enough life vests for everyone on board. When it came time for snorkeling, they dropped you in the middle of the ocean and asked you to grab the rope to go back on the boat because the boat would not stay in one location while you snorkel. The issue was that there were so many people on the rope not everyone was able to grab it. After trying and being exhausted the catamaran left and we were in the middle of the ocean waiting for one of the smaller “rescue” boats to pick us to and take us back to the catamaran. There was no head count once we were on the catamaran . I don’t think they would ever know if someone didn’t make it back. Once we got to Islas Mujelles, the food was awful. So bad that we had to order à la cart and pay separately. Back on the catamaran the drinks were watered down. All in all, I would not recommend this experience. Overall this experience costs us significantly more than it was advertised and the experience was subpar
Dear Darling: the conservation fee and dock fee are state in the section of included in the listing. Yes we have the security measures all the time , we know how many people are in the boat how many web t to snorkel, we have the boat of rescue to all those the current ( because it’s the sea not a people ) move from the snorkeling spot
This is a scam. Avoid. At arrival we were forced additonal money in the value five fold of the original cost. With no prior indication. The boat is poor quality, the smorkeing location has hardly any fish, no corals. You are dropped at a commercial location where you get some very questionae food in a very questionable place. We did not touch any of it, nor the drinks on the boat. Spare yourself this discomfort.
This was hands down the highlight of our family vacation! We traveled with our kids, and every single moment was incredible. The crew was friendly, attentive, and amazing with children, making us feel safe and welcome from start to finish. The turquoise water, snorkeling, food and time at Isla Mujeres were absolutely breathtaking. Everything was perfectly organized, and the entire experience felt effortless and unforgettable. We've done many excursions over the years, but this one was truly in a league of its own. If you're looking for an unforgettable family adventure, don't think twice—book this tour. You won't regret it!
The boat experience wonderful but when you reserve with trip advisor it's just like a deposit. They will charge you the actual cost of your ticket, conservation costs and more that you don't even understand!! Get ready because it's expensive....
