Fantastic tour. Ian was our driver and Kavika our guide. Was a fun trip which took us all around the island. The highlights being the active volcano, lava tube and beautiful waterfalls. Full day trip of fun and adventure. Comfortable and spacious vehicle. Would def recommend
It was an amazing experience, magical nature and very informative and nice guide Highly recommend this tour
Absolute gem of a tour!!! Kawika, our driver was a trove of wonderful information everywhere we went. From talking local plants to animals to changing landscapes to legends of Captain Cook and island favorite foods like Spam :), he kept us engaged throughout the 10 hour tour. Got to see plenty of volcanic craters, to waterfalls, coffee plantation to learning about Tephra on the tour. Lunch provided was ample and snacks were provided early evening as well. Some spots could use a tad extra time but the value you got for seeing them all and learning about the spots was invaluable. Would definitely recommend it for everyone!!!
Our tour guide Lisa was very knowledgeable about the island! We saw a lot and had fun! We felt like we were able to see basically the whole island in our trip with Lisa! We highly recommend this tour
Mia was my tour guide, and she was great. We stopped at a coffee plantation, never been to one. Never seen a pineapple plant til that day. The Black Sand beach showed its best with the sea turtles. She really gave us a wonderful picture of the island(s), the people and history. Just what I was looking for. The weather was a bit temperamental, but even with the rain and fog the island just showed us its nature. Kilauea, what a treat? Episode 49. Pele showed her power. I will never forget that feeling seeing the fire explode into the air and the size of the crater. Mia was so genuine, I loved it. Was worth every penny for the flight from Oahu and the tour.
Kona Chris was an amazing guide he was knowledgeable very friendly and kept us all laughing I recommend him to anyone visiting the Big Island
Justin did a great job with the pickup and the logistic. He demonstrated his experience as guide by answering all type of questions regarding the multiple spots. This tour is a good option if time is a limitation or if you want an overview of rhe island. For something like watching the lava, you would need to be very lucky that the volcano erupts the day you go.
This tour was everything and more! Not only did we get to see an incredible amount and the diversity of the island, but we also learned so much! Henry, our guide, was knowledgeable and shared his love and history of the island through relevant and interesting stories. He captivated us and kept us asking for more. The tour was all of 11 hours, but we knew that going in and were prepared. Not only were we able to see all of what makes this island so special, we also walked away with such an appreciation of the Hawaiian history and culture. Every stop was mesmerizing! From the turtles resting on the black sand beaches, to the waterfall plummeting to the ocean, to the history of coffee, the lava tubes and the volcano…this tour had everything! It was worth every penny!
This tour is 💯 worth the money and long day of 11ish hours! Drew was our tour guide! Top notch 10/10! He made the tour interesting every minute (which is saying something as a 42 year old woman with some intense ADHD😅)! The tour is full of facts, beauty, adventure! It’s truly amazing! We went for our 20th anniversary and loved the sense of togetherness with the other 10 folks on tour while still having as many private and personal moments as we wanted! The snacks they provide are light so if you’re a big eater, I def recommend packing some of your own. You can leave your bag in the van as you explore. Trust me, you won’t regret this tour!
It was a long day but worth every penny. First off I'd like to give a huge shout out to our guide, Kawika D.. He was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable and made several extra stops to show us local artifacts and sites. We got to experience most of the entire big island in one day. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. The group size was small (10) people. Lunch was provided as well as drinks and water throughout the day. Highly recommend!
