The Nuuksio hike was a very nice hike through a beautiful forest. Our guide David was absolutely fantastic! He had much knowledge of the forest and its wildlife. He also made the best mushroom soup I have ever tasted. It was a fun day out in a beautiful green forest. Definitely worth it if you wanna hike in nature near Helsinki! Thanks David.
The tour was great. Our guide, David was amazing and kept the tour interesting. We also had some amazing home made mushroom soup courtesy David.
What an amazing experience. David was great from the off, picking me up promptly. It’s a relatively short journey to the reserve and it was here David came into his own, showing us various flora and telling us about them. The snacks were tasty and he even made me a separate sandwich to eat at the end, as I couldn’t eat the soup. The best part was the walk which was perfectly curated to be the right length, visiting 3 different lakes. Be advised there are lots of tree roots, but i was in trainers and had no problems. A highlight of my trip to Helsinki and would not hesitate to fully recommend this tour.
We really enjoyed the half day tour. The park was beautiful. Tour guide David was very knowledgeable and food provided was lovely. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Helsinki.
Nuuksio is a great park to visit. We visited in summer time, so trail was lined with berry shrubs. Going with David added to the fun. He is very knowledgeable about local flora and fauna. The only reason I took of a star, is because it felt very rushed. There was barely any time to sit and enjoy the lake. We rushed through the stops and through the trail. David's soup is to die for. Secretly wished for more of it.
Beautiful experience! David was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide and chef! Highly recommended.
David is a knowledgeable and responsible guide who brought everyone through the amazing green to explore the beautiful lakes within. The home made mushroom soup served at the end was awesome too
Although we had some light rain this hike was perfect! It was thoughtfully planned. Don't hesitate to book it!
I loved it! It was so nice to get out in nature and not worry about getting lost, as I sometimes do. David was a great tour guide and he has so much knowledge and respect for the nature. He showed us all the types of berries, trees, and bog plants in the area. We even saw a poisonous snake and David was fully informed and ready to handle any situation (nothing bad happened). The lake views are gorgeous and the air is so fresh.
It was really nice. The guide knew not only of the beautiful places but also a lot about the plants and trees. He spoke English well, was friendly, and served us yummy homemade soup made with mushrooms he foraged himself! It helped that the weather was absolutely perfect in term of temperature and sunshine!
