Heritage Cruises Mejor crucero de lujo a Halong y Lan Ha Bay 2D1N

Overall pleased we went to the cruise and the actual boat (Ginger with Heritage Line) was excellent - but the presence of over 30 other boats moored at night in the bay is a touch off-putting. Go if you do not mind - otherwise think carefully. The best bits were the kayak trip at 7am and the bike ride (though the village is nothing to do with ‘local life’ but a nice ride anyway). The boat itself has lovely cabins and is very comfortable with excellent service and food.

We spent two nights the 12th and 13th March 2026 on board the Heritage Line Ylang, a unique vessel of Heritage Line's ship collection sailing the famed UNESCO Heritage Site Halong Bay and its serene seascapes of Lan Ha Bay in North Vietnam. We were warmly welcomed on the first day to the cruise ship by the crew and were given welcome drinks. All the crew members were exceptional, very hospitable, caring and helpful. The suites with balconies were beautiful spacious and very clean. Each room had a welcome pack with detailed information of the mindfulness activities planned for the 2 nights and 3 days for the passengers on board. The extensive spa facilities were great. The lunches and dinners were fine dining and delicious. The buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of fresh fruit and one could order fried, scrambled or omelettes. We enjoyed the tai-chi classes on both days first thing in the morning on the top deck before the sun rose. The excursions included Lan Ha Bay, Viet Hai Village via bicycle or electric cart, tea tasting class superbly hosted by Sam, visiting Cat Ba National Park and a leisurely and mindful walk along small paths through the forest, a peaceful nature reserve, a rowing boat through a cave, Singing bowl meditation and Kayaking on the last day. Thank you Ms Phuc, and all the crew on Ylang. You were all fantastic!

We were looking for an upscale and intimate short cruise on Halong Bay/Lan Ha Bay and this one exceeded our expectations. We paid for car transfers and the cars were good quality and large and worth the extra charges. The boat, the cabin and the dining space were very nicely appointed. We were in their best cabin, a suite at the front of the boat and everything was top notch. But what took the cake is the amazing attention to detail during the multi-course sit-down dinner and the outdoor experiences. The crew was friendly, efficient and made the entire trip memorable for us. This is an amazing option for those who value quality and intimacy and are willing to pay a little extra for it.

Lan Ha bay is stunning, visiting it via the Heritage Cruise was an enjoyable experience. Efficient and good quality services, polite and professional staff, sufficiently good cuisine, top rooms, large and comfortable common areas. Total of 20 rooms allows privacy and tranquility. We just had a 2 night 3 day cruise on the Heritage cruise. Very luxurious. Food was 10/10. Staff were so amazing and helpful. The rooms were so beautiful and the beds so comfortable. The bathroom and huge bath with high end tapware felt so luxurious. James was the most attentive and helpful staff member. We would highly recommend doing a heritage cruise.

What a magnificent trip from start to finish - definitely worth every penny. We appreciated the quiet and peaceful drift along the water. At times we felt like the only ship in the bay. The limestone mountains were spectacular, almost mesmerizing. The food elevated mealtimes to a feeling of fine dining and the attentiveness of the staff seemed heartfelt. We especially enjoyed our chats with Chris and Sam. This is a sailing of a lifetime, a truly memorable experience.

A wonderful cruise on the elegant Ginger. The accomodations, staff and dining experience were excellent! Next time I would take a two day cruise, one day just wasn't enough on this beautiful ship.

We stayed 2 days and one night on the Ginger boat. A fantastic experience. The atmosphere on board is magnificent. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side but we will remember this stay with pleasure. The staff very attentive and professional. Delicious meals with excellent presentations. Varied activities on board (squid fishing, island excursion, Thai chi, cooking class and kayaking).

We were just subjected to a 20-something guide with a viral infection for two days. Incredibly, he also cooked our food at the boat’s cooking demonstration—that he then sneezed all over! Truly. Wife and I both now have this a-hole’s infection. What a poorly run outfit. Never even crossed the fool’s mind to put a mask on. AVOID—you can do so much better.

Beautiful boat. Lovely staff. Nice cabin with a really lovely balcony. Food was good. Very well organised and everything was well planned.
