I loved it, my guide was Patricia, and she was spectacular in how she taught you everything and explained it to you. She makes the visit very entertaining by including anecdotes during the explanation of the history of the mosque, which makes it different from other guided tours. I loved it very much.
Our Madina Azahara trip was amazing because of our wonderful tour guide Javier. Bilingual, knowledgeable, respectful and super friendly. The site was magical and one can only imagine what it once was!!! Definitely worth it!!!

We visited Medina Azahara with transport from Córdoba with Cristina and Cecilia, from the beginning they were very attentive and close, the historical explanation was very interesting and even told us the gossip of the time to make the visit more enjoyable, as well as showing us more private photos about the site. All visits include a free one-hour tour of Roman Cordoba in the afternoon, to which Angela also came. Again the girls made the visit pleasant and instructive. Thank you very much to the 3 for your kindness and we recommend that you take this tour, it is very worth it.

First of all, I want to make it very clear that my assessment has nothing to do with our guide, Cristina, who is a charmer and very knowledgeable about the history of Medina-Azahara. Cristina has done everything she can but the weather conditions have not allowed us to enjoy the visit. In addition, we believe that it should be noted in the information of this visit that there is a certain physical difficulty in several sections of the archaeological site, since there are several very high steps, some without railing, slopes in the rocky ground and very steep ramps. And finally a suggestion that could improve the visit a lot: the use of radio frequency headsets that would allow good listening, at all times, to the guide even if we are a little behind because of the difficulties mentioned above.
Buenas tardes Conchi, lamento mucho que no pudieran disfrutar de la visita debido a las malas condiciones meteorológicas que hubo el pasado el pasado miércoles 29 de octubre y que ya desde la semana pasada les inquietaba tal y como me comentó por mensaje en que me decía que se estaban pensando si anular o no por el temporal. De hecho les indiqué que hasta 24 horas antes podían cancelar sin costo alguno, e incluso que estaríamos en contacto le lunes anterior para ver si se mantenía la misma previsión, aunque finalmente no llegamos a hablar (o al menos yo no recibí llamada alguna). Con respecto al yacimiento, como todo yacimiento arqueológico tiene su dificultad al ir bajando y subiendo escaleras y rampas que lo recorren, incluso alguna zona donde el piso no está en muy buen estado. Por eso en el apartado de Accesibilidad y de restricciones Sanitarias, cuando usted lee la información sobre la visita aparece que no es accesible en sillas de ruedas, ni recomendable para personas con afecciones cardíacas u otros problemas médicos. De hecho, cuando al reservar nos indican que alguno de los visitantes tienen movilidad reducida o problemas cardíacos, se les advierte de que hay escalones y rampas que bajar y que subir. Pero si al hacer la reserva no lo especifican, entendemos que no tienen ningún tipo de problema ni dolencia para superar barreras arquitectónicas. Y con respecto a las radioguías las solemos utilizar a partir de 10 personas o incluso a veces para 8 personas, pero cuando el número de asistentes es menor de 8 no se suelen usar pues con la voz de la guía es suficiente para que puedan escuchar de forma adecuada. Reiteramos nuestras disculpas y esperamos que en próxima ocasión en que vengan por Córdoba puedan disfrutar del rico patrimonio que atesoramos, si puede ser con mejor climatología. I want to thank the guides who accompanied us on the tour. On Thursday we visited Mediana Azahara guided by Javier and on Saturday the mosque with Carlos. Both have been absolutely amazing. You could see his passion for the subject, his great knowledge and how he enjoyed sharing them with us. They gave us enthusiasm, making the visit much more enriching and fun. Undoubtedly an unforgettable experience thanks to your dedication and professionalism. Highly recommended!
