Este recorrido combinado incluye visitas a algunas de las atracciones más populares de Armenia. Durante la mañana el Monte Ararat bíblico es especialmente hermoso, por lo que la primera parada está prevista en el punto más cercano a la montaña desde Armenia: el monasterio de Khor Virap, de donde se origina el cristianismo en Armenia. Khor Virap es el lugar de peregrinación más famoso de Armenia, ya que está directamente relacionado con la adopción del cristianismo. Como religión de Estado, el cristianismo en Armenia fue adoptado en 301 debido a los esfuerzos de San Gregorio el Iluminador, quien, antes de convertir al rey Trdat III al cristianismo, fue encarcelado en el calabozo, sobre el que se construyó una iglesia del monasterio de Khor Virap en el siglo XVII. Lavash es uno de los íconos gastronómicos más populares de Armenia y forma parte integral de la cocina armenia. Es un pan plano tradicional, suave y fino, elaborado en tonir (horno especial de tierra). Aunque el proceso de cocción del lavash requiere muchas habilidades especiales, lo realizan mujeres. En 2014, "La preparación, el significado y la apariencia del pan lavash tradicional como expresión de la cultura armenia" fueron inscritos en la Lista Representativa del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad de la UNESCO. Durante esta clase magistral observará y aprenderá las técnicas milenarias para hacer lavash y, por supuesto, probará el lavash casero junto con algunas verduras frescas y un delicioso queso local. Al sentir el olor a lavash una vez, guardarás esta impresión para toda la vida :)
El monasterio de Geghard es la obra maestra insuperable de la arquitectura armenia del siglo XIII. Algunas de las iglesias del complejo están magistralmente excavadas en una enorme roca. Desde el principio el complejo se llamó Ayrivank (monasterio rupestre), más tarde pasó a llamarse Geghard (lanza), ya que en este monasterio se guardaba durante muchos siglos la lanza con la que el soldado romano picaba el costado de Jesucristo. Debido a su construcción, Geghardavank es el mejor lugar para cantar canciones espirituales. El complejo es rico en sutiles adornos escultóricos y muchos llamativos khachkars (cruces de piedras). El sitio está incluido en la Lista del Patrimonio Cultural Mundial de la UNESCO.
El templo Garni, que se eleva sobre una capa triangular, es el único ejemplo sobreviviente de cultura pagana en Armenia. Es una mezcla de estilos grecorromano y armenio. El rey Trdat I ordenó construir el templo en el siglo I d.C. y lo dedicó al dios del sol. Después de la adopción del cristianismo en el año 301, el templo pagano perdió su significado y la fortaleza de Garni se convirtió en la residencia de verano de los reyes. Hoy en día, cerca del templo se encuentran las ruinas del palacio real y el baño con un impresionante mosaico.

We had a great time on this tour. From the first moment it struck us as a professional, well-organised choice. Great value for money particularly when compared to the multiple other options that were trying to give us flyers on the street. The tour was truly bilingual (my wife speaks Russian whereas I don’t). We were offered free water throughout the tour to help keep us refreshed on a hot August day. The best of all was our tour guide Marina who went out of her way to give thorough information at each of the stops, answered all our questions with patience and knowledge, and generally made sure we were all happy with the trip. We also had a very nice lunch during the tour. Also an additional shout out to our driver, Spartak, who agreed to us having an additional 30 minutes at our final stop as it was very busy the day we went.

Great review, our guide was Hyak and our driver was Aro. The timing was really good, we had just the right amount of time at each place. The information we got along the way and at each place was very interesting. Lunch was also great, very tasty and plenty to eat!

I met a transfer from the hotel, brought to the meeting point. We left on time for the designated locations. The transfer is comfortable, with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and water. Guide Haik talks interestingly, eagerly answers questions, beautifully played the wind instrument at the Temple of Garni, added atmosphere! Visited everything promptly, nothing superfluous, but maximum pleasant experiences and many beautiful photos. Thank you!

A very interesting tour, almost 10 hours went by without being noticed. We were accompanied by an excellent guide, Ike, and a careful driver, Aro. Ike is very interested in telling everything, you can see that the person is interested in telling stories himself, he even played us a national musical instrument in a historical place. A very delicious and inexpensive lunch is included in the price. The experience is very much pleasant, so you can't tell everything immediately, so you don't "spoiler", so I just recommend this tour. 10/10.
