Esta ciudad monumental conserva un interesante patrimonio histórico y artístico, Sus torres fotificadas del siglo XI, desde donde se puede admirar la hermosa Vistas de la pradera, la ciudad y Sierra Nevada. Guadix ofrece la posibilidad de viajar en el tiempo para conocer diferentes culturas y civilizaciones simplemente caminando por sus calles estrechas y sus grandes Monumentos La arquitectura religiosa es la protagonista en Guadix gracias a edificios importantes como la Catedral y las iglesias de Santa Anna, Santo Domingo y San Francisco. El Parque Megalítico de Gorafe es un sitio arqueológico acondicionado para tours ubicados en la ciudad de Gorafe. Es uno de los mejores ejemplos de El megalismo en el sur de la península ibérica debido a la cantidad de monumentos funerarios.

José was a fantastic guide and driver. The trip to Gaudix and the Geopark was great. It was nice to be out in nature and see the vistas on the fringes of the dessert as well as other views of the distant mountains. Jose was very flexible, allowing me ample time, more than what I expected. He was quick to discuss everything typical of Andalusia, from food to topography, to the climate, and culture. I highly recommend the trip if you want a break away from the city. The walking was minimal.

We had a great tour with Carlos. It was scheduled as a small group tour but turned into a private tour when no one else signed up. Lucky us! It's hard to describe all the areas we visited as they were unique and something we have never seen before. Anyhow, everything far exceeded our expectations and it was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip to southern Spain. Good weather was a bonus.

Had a great day out at the Geopark with our lovely guide Carlos. There were only 5 of us on the trip 2 Welsh and 3 Spanish and Carlos patiently translated everything for us. We were able to visit sites that would be missed had we not been with a guide and learned at lot on the day. We had spectacular views over the valleys and enjoyed Guadix with its quirky houses in the caves. Great day out
