Mezquita de Santa Sofía: el emperador Justiniano la construyó en el siglo VI. Es muy importante tanto en el mundo cristiano como en el islámico. Las campanas, el altar y los vasos sacrificiales se retiraron después de la conquista otomana y se cubrieron muchos mosaicos para convertir la iglesia en una mezquita.
Hipódromo: lugar donde se celebraban carreras de carros en tiempos del Imperio Romano, columna egipcia del Imperio Bizantino. Hoy la Fuente Alemana es la piedra angular de la plaza.
Mezquita Azul: el sultán Ahmet I del Imperio Otomano la mandó construir a principios del siglo XVII. La Mezquita Azul es una obra maestra arquitectónica de una magnificencia impresionante, con proporciones notablemente delicadas para una estructura de su tamaño.
La Cisterna Basílica es un depósito subterráneo de agua que fue construido durante la era bizantina. Los visitantes pueden pasear por sus pasarelas poco iluminadas y admirar las 336 columnas que sostienen la estructura.
Gran Bazar: Con más de 4.000 tiendas, es el mercado cubierto más grande y antiguo del mundo. En él se pueden encontrar cerámica, cuero, tapices, alfombras, artesanías, ropa, plata y productos de oro.
El Palacio de Topkapi: mucho más que la residencia imperial de los sultanes otomanos. Durante aproximadamente 400 años sirvió como sede del Consejo Ejecutivo Supremo. El Palacio de Topkapi es un magnífico ejemplo de arquitectura oriental que captura la majestuosidad del Imperio Otomano.

This was an excellent guided tour of old town. Fatih was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The day was very flexible allowing us to see all the sites we wanted to. Highly recommended
It was my husband and I and Beko. So very private. He was so informative and so helpful in so many ways. He knows his way around and what to Do and when to do it so you don’t wait in line (at least at the 8 am time when we went). We took the electric train from Galataport cruise port to Old town and walked the rest of the time till we got back on the train to go back to the port. He lets you customize what you want to do, but we had him do what he thought was best and it was awesome. It is a lot of walking and standing, just so you know. We walked over 6 miles with him. But we would highly recommend.

Our guide was a historical and cultural expert. His English was perfect and he flexed to our every need. He went out of his way to accommodate us and ensure a superb trip. He took us to local places and must see experiences. It was not about the money, but about making sure our visit was perfect. In truth, I have never had a guide like him anywhere in the world. Ugurcan was out tour guide and he was absolutely brilliant. His knowledge of the five attractions we went see was incredible. Little details that would not be captured on audio guides were well worth the cost. In addition when our five attractions were completed he brought us back to our hotel.
