A superb introduction to Champagne! Beside learning about production techniques, we were introduced to local, independent wine producers that provided a welcoming experience! Cour guide Chloe is a funny, informative, and friendly guide. Hope you are lucky to have her showing you her lovely hometown!
Dear John, Chloe will be so happy to read this! Her humour and love for her hometown truly shine through, and that's exactly the spirit we want to share when introducing guests to our independent producers. Champagne has a way of pulling people back, and we hope to see you again soon in the region! Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
Lunch was delicious as well as the sparkling. The second winery was disorganized, cluttery, and not an impressive experience.
Bonjour, So glad the lunch and the sparkling wine left a great impression! On the second winery, we understand the experience and organisation were not quite what you expected. While each producer runs their own space independently, we appreciate you sharing this with us. Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
Went to small individual house operations. Guide was nice but with no personality. Have been on numerous Viator trips with fun guides. Honestly we were all ready to just be done before it was over
Dear Michelle, Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We understand how much a guide's energy and personality shape the overall feel of a tour, and we hear that this was not quite the dynamic you were hoping for. We genuinely appreciate you taking the time to share this with us. Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
This was an amazing tour - we highly recommend! Our guide Ana was amazing! There were 6 of us and we were very comfortable in the van. We went to 2 small growers and it was wonderful!
Dear Kristin, So glad the day with the two small growers felt as wonderful as it sounds, with everyone comfortable and enjoying the ride together! Champagne is best enjoyed more than once, and we would love to be part of your next visit! Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
What a wonderful day with Eva! The van was very comfortable and well driven. Eva was very knowledgeable about the area, the champagne process and the people. Eva was friendly and attentive throughout and made the whole day very enjoyable. The food and champagne at Le Clos Corbier was fantastic as was the champagne at Cordoin-Didierlaurent. Thanks for a great day Eva!
Dear Sarah, Eva will be absolutely thrilled to read this! Her knowledge of the region, the people and the Champagne process is truly what makes a day like this so special. So glad Le Clos Corbier and Cordoin-Didierlaurent both delivered, from the food to the final glass! Champagne has a way of pulling people back, and we hope to see you again soon in the region! Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
Exceptional tour in Champagne country! Our guide Zoe was fun and super informative about Champagne , how it’s made, the various vineyards and about her home region.
Dear Jeff, Zoe will be delighted to read this, her love for the region and the people behind the wines truly comes through on every tour. So glad the day hit the right notes from the vineyards to the lunch table! Champagne has a way of pulling people back, and we hope to see you again soon in the region! Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
A great way to experience Champagne region and learn about the champagne making process. Ann was our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable. Lunch was excellent. We got to taste several different kinds of champagnes.
Dear Elizabeth, What a lovely summary of the day! Anne will be thrilled to hear this, her passion for Champagne and the stories behind every bottle is what makes the experience so rich. Delighted the lunch and the tastings rounded off a perfect day in the region! Champagne never runs out of surprises, and we would love to share more of them with you! Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
Lots of scenery and great in depth knowledge of making champagne. Even trips down in the cellars. But only 6 pours throughout the day, so savor them.
Bonjour Kim, So glad the cellars left an impression, there is something truly magical about going underground and feeling the history of Champagne all around you! On the tastings, five carefully selected pours throughout the day is very much part of the experience, each one chosen to reflect the diversity and quality of the region rather than quantity. Champagne has a way of pulling people back, and we hope to see you again soon in the region! Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
The champagne tasted and the lunch were excellent, staff at both vineyards very knowledgeable and interesting. Our driver was new to the role, only 3 weeks and it showed a bit, some questions he couldn't answer. Also during the drive more interested in playing music we liked that telling us about the area and the champagnes, not happy he was using his phone whilst driving.
Dear John, We are really glad the tastings, the lunch and the teams at both vineyards delivered on the day! On your guide, we appreciate your understanding that everyone starts somewhere. That said, using a phone whilst driving is something we take very seriously and this will be addressed directly. We are sorry this happened and thank you for flagging it. Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
An intense insight into the culture of champagne production, cellars, instruments, vineyards, philosophies.
Bonjour Robert, What a beautiful summary of everything Champagne has to offer, from the cellars to the vineyards and the philosophy behind every bottle. We are so glad the day gave you such a rich and immersive insight into the region! A bientôt in Champagne, we hope to see you back very soon! Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
