Bikes were very user friendly, pedal assisted and comfortable. Our guide Luca was very informative and funny! Very authentic forest ride, bbq lunch at the outdoor museum and central park. Easy access - 3 stops from downtown helsinki .
Bikes that are actually fun to ride, a guide who keeps you laughing, and a forest ride that feels a world away even though it’s just three stops from downtown Helsinki… that’s exactly the day I want people to have with us. I love that the pedal assist made things easy and comfy, that the forest section felt properly “authentic,” and that our BBQ spot by the outdoor museum and Central Park hit the sweet spot between nature and city.
We had an e-bike and went through a couple beautiful forests/parks. Yummy lunch prepared for us. Had a great time in the sauna. It was so helpful to have Robert explaining the etiquette and took the worry out of the experience so we could just enjoy it. We loved talking to him and learning about Finnish culture. It was a great day!
Jennifer, kiitos, so glad you enjoyed the e‑bikes, forest paths, lunch and especially the sauna, and that Robert’s explanations made it easy to relax, chat and just enjoy a great Finnish day.
The other reviews are telling the truth - this is an excellent bike tour led by a local! Plenty of stops to take pics or learn about Finnish history & culture, and fun trails out in nature and the forests. Except when visiting the public sauna, in a nice part of the city. It was a beautiful clean gym with a choice of a lap pool, therapy pool, or aqua jogging after showering, soaking in the sauna heat, and cold plunging! I’m a big fan now. (Women & men are segregated in the sauna, locker room, and showers, not to worry). Robert is a kind and easy going family man. As a 50+ woman in moderate shape, I felt perfectly capable of operating the ebike, and comfortable with just 3 of us total on the tour. The other bike rider used a road bike, and kept up no problem (though he was in excellent shape). E-bikes are in excellent shape, and appear fairly new. What a special experience! Such thoughtful perks too, with local chocolate and a vegan repast. I highly recommend it!
Wow, kiitos for this amazing and super detailed review! Reading that you felt safe, comfortable and well taken care of as a 50+ rider makes us really happy – that’s exactly the kind of day we want to create on our tours. I’m glad you enjoyed the mix of forest trails, city paths and the public sauna with the pools and cold plunge, and that the e‑bike felt easy while the road bike could still keep up. The fact that you left as a new sauna fan and appreciated the little perks like local chocolate and our vegan snacks really means a lot. It was a pleasure spending the day with your small group and sharing a slice of Finnish everyday life – you’ll always be welcome back in Helsinki for another ride and sauna. – The Helsinki Cyclo Tour team
Wow - what an amazing experience exploring Helsinki on e-bike. Robert our guide was very friendly and informative, the bikes were super comfortable and easy to use, and the route was suitable for all. Just as we settled in for our yummy lunch it started to snow, and once we completed our Sauna we were greeted by a white-out which was a magical experience cycling our last leg through the local park and forest - Highly Recommend!!
Thank you so much for this amazing review Scotty! We’re really happy to hear you enjoyed exploring Helsinki by e-bike and that the route felt comfortable for everyone. Robert will be delighted to know his friendliness and stories made the tour special. The snowy “white‑out” finish sounds truly magical – what a way to end the day after lunch and sauna! We really appreciate the high recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another ride soon.
Great experience I would definitely recommend this experience as a valuable one to add to your overall travel journey. The tour guide Robert was excellent!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re really happy to hear you found the tour a valuable part of your travel journey. Robert will be thrilled to know you enjoyed his guiding. We truly appreciate the recommendation and hope to see you again on another ride!
Lovely day at a relaxed pace. Robert the guide was very engaging, knowledgable and enthusiastic. Cycling is mostly on excellent infrastructure cycle paths and forest trails. E-bikes are a little industrial but do the job if pedal assistance is required, but route is largely flat and pace very easy. Transport links and directions to start are excellent, although I would pay close attention to the weather, as you will get soaked if it's raining. very scenic and uplifting experience and the genuine Finnish sauna was fascinating.
Thank you for sharing such a detailed review! We’re really glad you enjoyed the relaxed pace, the scenery and the genuine Finnish sauna experience. It’s great to hear Robert’s enthusiasm and knowledge helped bring the route to life, and that you appreciated the safe cycle paths and forest trails. Thanks also for the honest note about the e-bikes and the reminder about checking the weather forecast – very useful advice for future riders. We’re delighted the day still felt uplifting despite the chance of getting soaked, and we’d love to welcome you back on another tour.
Be aware of the weather forecast and dress appropriately. It's worth it. Very easy to find with superb public transport links.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for the great tip about checking the weather and dressing for it. We’re glad you still felt the experience was worth it and that the meeting point was easy to find with the excellent public transport. Hope to see you again on a future visit to Helsinki—whatever the weather!
This Helsinki Forest bike tour was outstanding, much to the credit of our guide, Robert. Robert’s knowledge of Finland’s history is diverse and he shared out of the ordinary stories of the country’s past. We rode e-bikes through the local forest to a heritage island where we ate a special lunch made by Robert, enjoyed in a little hut sheltered from the rain. The true highlight for my husband and I was the public pool where we enjoyed a hot sauna, a relaxing pool and attempts at a cold plunge. Afterwards, we were back on our bikes to see the Helsinki police horse stables and the beautiful community gardens. Robert also showed us the President and Prime Minister of Finland’s residences. The forest foliage hosted many varieties of mushrooms and small wildlife. This bike tour was definitely the highlight of our holiday in Helsinki. We highly recommend it! Special thanks to Robert for making the tour top notch :)
Thank you for your review and for the helpful tip about checking the weather forecast and dressing for the conditions. We’re glad you found the meeting point easy to reach with the public transport links. Hope we can welcome you back to explore Helsinki again—sunshine or snow!
We had an absolute blast on our eBike tour and BBQ experience in Helsinki with Robert and his son Luca! Our family of 13, including kids, were all thrilled with the adventure. Robert's knowledge of Helsinki's history and landmarks added so much depth to the tour, and both he and Luca ensured our safety on the streets. The BBQ was delicious, and the lake dip was refreshing! The scenery was stunning, and the weather was perfect. We can't recommend this experience enough - it's a must-do in Helsinki! 5 stars isn't enough - we'd give it 10 stars if we could! Highly recommend!"
Wow, thank you so much for this fantastic review! It was a real pleasure hosting your family and we’re delighted to hear that everyone—from kids to adults—enjoyed the e-bike adventure, BBQ and lake dip. Robert and I are very happy that the stories about Helsinki, the scenery and the safe, relaxed riding all helped make the day special. “10 stars” is an honour—kiitos paljon, and you’re always welcome back any time you’re in Helsinki again!
Turned out to be a private tour, as I was the only booking for the day! Fantastic experience, a truly different way to take in Helsinki, it's sights, and Finnish culture. If I was returning with others, I'd book this again in a heart beat.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! It was great to share a more off-the-beaten-path side of Helsinki with you, and I’m glad the “private tour” feel made it extra special. Hearing that you’d book again in a heartbeat means a lot—hope to see you back in Helsinki with friends next time!
