We had an intimate group of 6. Carlos has a chef background and is very knowledgeable about the produce and the cooking process. The food was really tasty/enjoyable and the session was very informative! Highly recommend.
Our family of four (including two young men in their 20s) had the best time. Carlos is a great instructor, is incredibly knowledgeable about Basque cooking, ingredients and culture, and he and his staff were helpful, kind and fun. Also, the food was absolutely delicious. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain and France.
This was more fun then we could have expected and I went in with high expectations😊. Our Chef Carlos was a talented, down to earth and very knowledgeable instructor. Sing up! You’ll learn a skill or 2 and have an amazing Basque lunch you cooked for yourself paired perfectly with cider and wines. Yum… take me back!
A must do if visiting San Sebastián. Carlos was an excellent host, guide and chef. Learned a few cooking techniques while enjoying pleasant company and good food.
We took the amona course with Lucho and we loved the experience; he explained everything in detail and we left with the feeling of having learned quite a bit. In addition to teaching you the recipes, he also told us cooking tricks that we didn't know and that can be applied to cooking in general. Unbeatable value for money; you learn the recipes and then you eat what you cooked, which is delicious.
I’ve taken many cooking class and this one was special. Learned some nuances of Basque cooking, gained new skills and insights that I will immediately put to work in my kitchen, and enjoyed eating the delicious results with my friends👌
I was in the paella and rice class and the experience was really good. The place where you cook is a cutie where no detail is missing. The instructor explains the steps to follow in a clear and enjoyable way, and the 2 and a half hours fly by. To finish, we ate what we cooked accompanied by drinks, and we were able to take home the apron and what we had left over.
