The food was delicious, the guide friendly and the setting incredible, a wonderful experience all around. I would really recommend if you want to listen to Scotland’s history over a tasty meal!
It was such a fun way to explore the city, and I got to try things I probably never would have found on my own. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Edinburgh. It was one of the highlights of my trip! The food was amazing!

Our guide, Jesus, was a lovely person but didn’t share as much about the history of the food and we generally felt the storytelling of the evening was lacking. Two members of the group left multiple times throughout the meal to get drinks at the bar which made the dinner over two hours long. We felt Jesus could have done a better job controlling the situation as the people that left made it very clear we shouldn’t wait for them. There were awkward pauses in the conversation and it was put upon some of our group members to fill them so we weren’t all sitting in silence. Food was good and the waitstaff at the pub/restaurant were friendly and accommodating. We don’t regret the experience but we wouldn’t book this again. Included a picture of the haggis croquette which wasn’t exactly to our taste but better than expected!
