¿Listo para volar sobre los latidos reales de la Ciudad de México, no la versión postal? Hemos construido una experiencia compartida en grupos pequeños en Iztapalapa, uno de los distritos más auténticos de CDMX, lleno de comida callejera, tradiciones locales, cultura urbana e historia arraigada. Comenzamos en el centro y montamos el Metro de la Ciudad de México como los lugareños mientras desempacamos cómo se mueve esta megaciudad (y por qué eso importa más de lo que se podría pensar). Luego, nos detendremos en un museo local para entender la historia de Iztapalapa y su papel como potencia de la cultura comunitaria. Luego viene el showtopper : la Línea 2 del Teleférico, una ruta reconocida por Guinness conocida como la línea de teleférico urbano más larga del mundo, que ofrece vistas panorámicas alucinantes del valle mientras nos deslizamos por encima de la ciudad. Entre paseos, vamos a todo “modo local” : un mercado de barrio para tacos seriamente buenos, y envolvemos con un brindis de pulque, una bebida prehispánica tradicional—porque tu viaje a la Ciudad de México merece al menos una historia que tus amigos no tendrán.

¿Quieres sobrevolar un lado de la Ciudad de México que la mayoría de los viajeros nunca ven? Hemos diseñado una experiencia de Iztapalapa fuera de lo común, una mirada real a la vida cotidiana de CDMX, repleta de comida callejera, cultura local y raíces profundas que se remontan a los aztecas. Lejos de la burbuja turística, este distrito es una de las zonas más dinámicas de la ciudad, donde el arte callejero, los proyectos comunitarios y los nuevos espacios públicos están remodelando activamente su identidad. En resumen : Ciudad de México auténtica, desde arriba y de cerca—y sí, va a superar a otra foto “del mismo viejo” Centro.
Esta aventura comienza en el Centro de la Ciudad de México, a las afueras del Palacio de Bellas Artes. Desde allí, subiremos al metro y nos dirigiremos hacia los suburbios, utilizando el mismo transporte en el que confían los lugareños, mientras desglosamos cómo funciona la movilidad en una de las ciudades más grandes del mundo (y por qué da forma a la vida diaria aquí).
A lo largo del recorrido, nos moveremos a través de la Ciudad de México —y hacia Iztapalapa— utilizando el Metro de la Ciudad de México, la columna vertebral de la vida cotidiana aquí. A lo largo del camino, tendrá una idea real de las rutinas locales y aprenderá por qué el Metro no es solo transporte, es el sistema que mantiene esta megaciudad funcionando.
Luego visitaremos un museo local para sumergirnos en la historia de Iztapalapa y su tradición cultural más icónica, una épica representación de Semana Santa dirigida por la comunidad conocida como una de las más grandes de su tipo en el mundo.
Después de eso viene el evento principal : montaremos en el Teleférico de la Ciudad de México y nos deslizaremos por encima de las calles para obtener vistas panorámicas del valle—con un asiento en primera fila al colorido arte callejero de la zona y la escala de CDMX desde el cielo.
Haremos una parada en el mercado para probar un lugar de tacos clásico que los lugareños juran: simple, auténtico y delicioso.
Finalmente, regresaremos a casa en metro, terminando nuestro recorrido en un bar local del centro, para brindar con una bebida prehispánica: la bebida de los dioses.

A safe flight over the working-class neighborhoods of Mexico City with our guide Ramón, native of Iztapalapa. He gave us a lot of information about the evolution of the neighborhood from the 1980s to the present. Dinner in a typical market was a great experience. Ramon was thoughtful and very kind. We highly recommend this experience.
Had a great time on the CableCar tour, Aaron was an excellent guide! We saw a lot of things we otherwise wouldn't have gotten around to: multiple forms of public transit, local market experience, pulque, and more. Learned a lot about the history and culture, and he answered all our questions. Highly recommend!
Aaron was an amazing guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Tour was great. Rode the metro and car cable, ate great food at a stop along the way and ended with some pulque. Highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about Mexico.
Ramon was a delightful tour guide. The excursion led us through the subway & the blue line cable bus where we were treated to a local market and delicious lunch. Along the way Ramon explained many important historical facts as well as explanations of local culture & things important to Mexican people. Experiencing the city this way is highly recommended if you truly enjoy understanding the culture! Culmination of our little journey at Garabaldi square where locals hang out. We said cheers @ a pulqueria & said our fairwells then finished our day walking around Historic down town. Enjoyable person to meet, we sincerely loved the conversations!
Ramon gave us a personal and detailed new layer of knowledge about CMX. We were a small group of 5 friends with various interests. Ramon was warm and gave us a sense of walking and talking with a friend. He could answer our questions on history, politics, geology, culture and customs …. Travelling on transit and walking less touristed paths (we didn’t see another group all day) with someone that was proudly describing their home was a highlight of our time here. Food was great, drink was … interesting! Thank you so much, 10/10!
Had a great experience. Learnt lots of interesting things and benefitted from the small group size. Ramon was a great guide and told us so many interesting things about Mexico City and Iztapalapa.
Highly recommend this tour! We had both +70 year olds and 7 year old and everyone got something from the experience. This really helps gather perspective of how large and diverse the city is. We would have never explored on our own and learned so much about the history and present day.
I must say thanks to Cecilia who was very knowledgable and spoke both English/Spanish very well...for the amazing tour .All the places in the tour were interesting including travel by metro but obviously cablebus ride was the most enjoyable part..we had food in a local market in the Iztapalapa area and the local Mexican drink Pulque at the end of tour at Garibaldi ,both were very authentic ..I would recommend this tour especially with Cecilia any day ...
From start to finish the tour was well executed. Cecilia gave an excellent introduction at the meeting location of what to expect and she delivered. She was not rushed and answered all our questions. Unlike routine tour of museums this tour presented an interesting cultural overview of real places and real people. Would definitely highly recommend.
