El hermoso Monasterio de Gracanica fue construido en 1321 y forma parte de la lista de la UNESCO. Casi 700 años, iglesia activa y frescos y retratos bien conservados. Unas 20 monjas viven en el complejo del monasterio.
El monasterio ortodoxo más antiguo de Kosovo construido en XIII, con agradable jardín cuidado, compuesto por cuatro iglesias únicas, miles de frescos y retratos.
El mejor monasterio de Kosovo, construido en el siglo XIV, arquitectura única, con quizás la galería de arte medieval más grande de Europa, miles de frescos y retratos asombrosos.

The Monastery tour was just amazing. The frescoes in these 13th &14th century churches were just beyond beautiful. Our guide, Bekim, was full of knowledge about the sites but beyond that as we traveled between the monasteries he shared so much information about the present state of the country, the inter action of the different cultures and the future endeavors of the country. We spent a very pleasant day and learned so much about Kosovo. Bekim was very personable and made sure we were comfortable during the entire tour.

Definitely a highlight of our Balkans trip. Exquisite frescos. Unbelievable. Bekim is an amazing tour guide. So knowledgeable. Not only in what we were seeing but also general background and history of the region. We really enjoyed our time with him.

Our guide seemed quite professional, he explained interesting facts about the culture and history of Kosovo. He could have explained a bit more about the medieval frescoes in the monasteries. We did not have the occasion of having lunch but that was not really a problem since the excursion ended at about 3 pm. We also got the possibility to visit the ethnographical museum of Pristina.
