Descripción
Desde Budapest, visita Esztergom para conocer la basílica más grande de Hungría y disfrutar de las vistas de Eslovaquia desde la Colina del Castillo. Continúa hacia Visegrád para explorar el castillo real (entrada incluida), con impresionantes vistas del Recodo del Danubio. Disfruta de un almuerzo en un restaurante tradicional húngaro (no incluido), y luego dirígete a Szentendre, la encantadora ciudad de los artistas. Realiza una visita guiada por el casco antiguo y aprovecha para comprar artesanías locales o visitar el Museo Margit Kovács. Esztergom: la antigua capital de Hungría y sigue siendo el centro de la Iglesia católica. Visitamos la mayor catedral de Hungría (también lugar de enterramiento de famosos cardenales, como el primado József Mindszenty)
Visegrád: Tras la invasión Mongol se construyó aquí una nueva fortificación a mediados del siglo XIII. Actualmente es un museo. La cima de la colina ofrece un fascinante panorama sobre el valle del Danubio.
Szentendre: Es una pequeña ciudad barroca construida sobre ruinas medievales, situada a las puertas del Recodo del Danubio. La ciudad está considerada como la Villa de los Artistas o la Ciudad de los Pintores. Recorremos el centro histórico y disfrutamos de las estrechas calles empedradas y de las casas barrocas. Después de la visita guiada también se pueden visitar algunos museos (por ejemplo, el famoso Museo de Cerámica Margit Kovács o el Museo de la Confitería con figuras de mazapán).

A great tour. Surprised to find we were the only two on the tour but made it a very personal experience. Beautiful views of the Danube bend. Unfortunately Esztergom Basilica is having renovation work done on it so we weren’t able to access parts but the Visegrad castle was amazing. Lots of steps and brilliant views. Lunch was really good too and Szentendre picture postcard perfect. Our guides were really friendly and informative and looked after us well.
My family and I had a wonderful time, touring the basilica and old castle we visited. Our guide and driver were very accomodating, including giving us a few more minutes at the end of the tour for shopping in the artisan's village. But the biggest surprise was the luncheon, which was absolutely delicious! Most tour food is mediocre at best, but the goulash and main course was terrific followed by a wonderful dessert! I can hightly recommend this trip!
We love learning the history of an area. This tour filled our desires. We thought it would be a small group but it was just the driver, Zorba, the guide, forgotten name, and the 2 of us. We had a perfect day for traveling outside the city. During the drive we learned about the history and culture ofBudapest, Hungary. Our first stop was the Cathedral of Ezhergon. We crossed the river into Slovakia to view the Cathedral from the riverside; our guide said that this rated one of the most beautiful views in the world. Then we traveled onto Visegard castle. This castle is from the 1100's and requires quite a bit of walking (we were glad we couldn't do the tower at the cathedral). The views from castle were amazing and the history of the castle fascinating. We stopped at a local restaurant that served in a medieval style. Finally, we went to the small village of St. Andrews. Again, lots of walking through the cobblestone streets and alleys. The small village is full of shops and cafes. We stopped at the marzipan museum to see sculptures of fairy tales, structures, and Michael Jackson--all made of marzipan. This day was one of the highlights of our river cruise trip.
