We had a wonderful experience with Sandy as our tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and full of fun facts. We got a great overview of Edinburgh. He was patient with those of us who had some mobility impairments and was able to modify his route to help us avoid too much walking. Excellent and informative tour. We would highly recommend this tour and especially Sandy to anyone who wants to visit Edinburgh!
We had a wonderful day in Edinburgh with a half day tour. We would’ve liked to have taken the full day one, but that was more than we could do with our cruise ship schedule. Our ship was due to arrive in Newburgh Harbor but it had to be switched to Rosyth Harbor, which is outside of the downtown area. Hazel was very flexible and came over there to pick us up in the Mercedes minivan with WiFi. You might think that there’s no way you can see Edinburgh in 1/2 day, but we really feel like we got a strong taste of the city!! Hazel was fabulous in customizing it to also let us go to Dean Village. She was an excellent driver, taking us through the very crowded places in Edinburgh, as she was narrating. She knew right where to park on a side street to get us close access to our various stops. Take a look at the itinerary and you’ll see all the places you get to go to. We learned so much about the culture and history and geography of Edinburgh and Scotland. The Royal Mile is overflowing with people, and many independent tours going on downtown. They are in large groups walking around led by a guide with no microphone, and sometimes led by people from other countries (based on feedback from some others on our cruise ship). So glad we found experienced tours instead!! Would HIGHLY recommend booking with Experienced-tours for a comfortable tour and a very professional local guide. It was a perfect day!!
Stewart was an outstanding tour guide and made our visit to Edinburgh both enjoyable and efficient. His local knowledge helped us avoid crowds, navigate the city smoothly, and even steer clear of shady characters to create a safe environment. He did a great job tailoring the experience to our family, keeping a younger group engaged while sharing interesting insights about Scotland's history, architecture, and culture. We especially enjoyed the countryside drive and the unique viewpoints he too us to that many visitors and even locals do not know. Stewart was friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly passionate about Scotland. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend him.
Excellent experience. My husband and I booked this tour for the day we arrived in Edinburgh, to give us a good overview of the city. We've done this with other trips, and it's proved a wonderful way to start. Hazel was wonderful. She was bright, personable and full of local knowledge. We got a great understanding of the history, culture and vibe of the city. For a four hour tour, we made it to everywhere we wanted (how?) and a few places we didn't even KNOW we wanted to go (seeing the cherry blossoms near campus was beautiful! I can't recommend this enough. Definitely worth the price.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour experience with Laura. It was a great way to get an historical, as well as current, overview of Edinburgh, and Laura did a fantastic job of keeping the tour interesting throughout our time together. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to learn more about Edinburgh. Thank you, Laura!!
Hazel was amazing throughout the half-day trip around the city. She was a gracious host and a top notch guide and the comfort of a private chauffeured tour in a mini van is hard to beat.
Debbie was an excellent tour guide. She was a fun hang for 4 hours, was helpful with my elderly mother, was very informative about the historic and current localesand knew all the great hotspots for photo ops. A++++!!!
From the moment Laura picked up my wife and I we absolutely fell in love with her. She was so personable and fun to talk to along with being so knowledgeable about the local area. It was almost surreal. My wife had been looking on Facebook at multiple places to visit and without us even telling her, Laura knocked out three on our list immediately. We learned so many stories about Edinburgh and where so many sayings came from. When it was time to get dropped off. We both felt like we were leaving a new friend thank you, Laura!
We had a wonderful half day tour to Rosslyn Chapel and tour around areas of Edinburgh. Our tour guide Laura was wonderful and was thoughtful in making suggestions of areas to see since Craigmillar Castle was closed the day of our tour. We ended up seeing areas of Edinburgh we would have probably not made it to in the time we had remaining in our trip. Our tour guide Laura was very pleasant and punctual, and the van was clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate to use Experienced Tours again.
Sandy was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He took us to the main sites of Edinburgh which is such a beautiful city. I highly recommend this tour!
