Este es el castillo anglo-normando más grande del país. Construido a finales del siglo XII por Hugh de Lacy y su hijo Walter, sirvió como centro militar y administrativo estratégico. La enorme torre del homenaje de tres pisos, con su singular forma cruciforme, domina el paisaje y refleja el poder de los invasores normandos. Rodeado de extensas murallas y torres defensivas, el castillo era un símbolo de control sobre la región. Hoy en día, el castillo de Trim es un popular lugar patrimonial que ofrece visitas guiadas y vistas panorámicas. También apareció de forma destacada en la película Braveheart.

Owen was amazing!!!! He arrived early and was very talkative and explained every aspect of the tour. We went to the hills of Tara where he give us a one-on-one guided tour, that was amazing. His knowledge of Irish history was above and beyond. Could not have asked for a better guide. Second was Bective Abbey he was very knowledgeable and told us the inner workings of the Abbey. Third was trim Castle. He allowed my wife and I time to walk around and enjoy the beauty of the castle. Upon leaving, he chatted with us the whole way back discussing more history from Ireland.. I cannot stress enough, how great of a guide he is. If you're going to take a tour, ask for Owen by name. We will definitely have him take us some places when we return.

My siblings and I had a wonderful time on our half-day tour with Owen! He was friendly and very knowledgeable, teaching us all about Irish history alongside facts about the Hill of Tara, Bective Abbey, and Trim Castle. The car was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the beautiful ride through the Irish countryside. We were able to grab lunch from a charming coffee shop in Trim and get some excellent recommendations for our time in Dublin. What’s more, Owen went above and beyond to return valuable items we accidentally left in the car at the end of the tour! We greatly appreciate the five-star experience and service.
