We had a fantastic three-day trip to the Isle of Skye. Our tour guide, Ben, was very knowledgeable and engaging, and he helped make the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. The tour was also very flexible, allowing us to spend more time at the places we were most interested in. Overall, it was a wonderfully organised and memorable experience— We would highly recommend it.

Macleod Heilan and our driver Grant provided us with a 5 star Scottish experience. Smooth and well planned from start to finish. Grant, a Scottish native, is a true gem blending his personal experiences with all his knowledge about Scotland’s history and attractions. He was accommodating, always prompt and friendly. He was an excellent driver on the windy , narrow, 2 lane roads. He further provided shopping and dining recommendations. To sum it up, he went above and beyond to make our holiday special and I highly recommend him.

Our amazing driver guide Grant has lived in Scotland all his life and is very knowledgeable about the history and attractions of this country and specifically The Highlands and the Isle of Skye. He was friendly and accommodating. I do Highly recommend him for a personalized 5 star experience.

We toured with John and he is such an amazing tour guide! The trip was amazing since we got to see a lot of the Highlands and the Isle of Skye. John was being very professional and adjusted the trips and schedules accordingly to our needs, the weather, etc. We also got great recommendations for restaurants and photo spots. It was really convenient to book this trip and payment was seamless. John Sheedy reached out to me directly to check on my preferred itinerary and advise me on suitable trip dates and accommodations, which was very helpful as this is my first trip to the UK. He picked us up promptly at our hotel at Edinburgh and even went the extra mile to help us with bringing our luggage up and down some steep steps to our hotel at Isle of Skye. We truly appreciated this help. Our vehicle was spacious and could accommodate our 2 big suitcases and 2 duffel bags. During the scenic and relaxing drives around Isle of Skye, John entertained and enlightened us with stories of Scotland’s rich and colourful history. We felt like we could truly see the beauty of Scotland with the knowledge that he shared with us. The locations John brought us to were simply breath-taking. We love hiking and John brought us to some of the longer and more popular hikes, like to the Fairy Pools and Old Man of Storr. As a newly engaged couple, John also gave us more time to spend with each other at scenic spots like Loch Ness and Eileen Donan castle, which we appreciated as well. Our overall experience was fantastic and we are so glad that our paths crossed with John. If we’re back in Scotland, we will certainly reach out to him again and will recommend him to all our friends and family visiting Scotland. Thank you, John!

We had a great tour with MacLeod Heilan - The Isle of Skye and our stops along the way were fantastic. Our guide shared a lot of Scottish history and detail and a lot about the country and countryside. It was beautiful and wild country that we saw and experienced. They were flexible and had some stops and options tailored to our group. Sounds like they have other great tour options too. We do highly recommend them!

We had the best time on MacLeod Heilan Tours! John was great working with us when we had to modify our dates. Andy, our tour guide, made sure we saw everything we could possibly hope to see. - and we saw a lot! What a beautiful place! This was a bucket list trip for us, and it surpassed our expectations. I think a private tour is the absolute best way to see the Isle of Skye, and I highly recommend MacLeod Heilan Tours for an amazing time!

Gosh, I don’t know where to start with the compliments. John was an absolute delight to your us all through the Scottish Highlands for 3 days. He is highly personable and kind. He definitely goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable, fed, and will keep you on schedule without making you feel rushed and still not miss any of the sites. Due to tardy train schedule, we unfortunately parley missed the viaduct train go by, but that was the only mishap. We would have stayed to wait, but had the frrry to catch. Glencoe was a dream, and the sites on the Isle I will never forget, John and McLeod Highland Tours is the best and I will book again.

From the inquiry about a tour with Macleod Heilan Tours throughout the tour itself, we were very happy with the professionalism and great communication with this company. Our tour guide, John, having been born on the Isle of Skye, possessed a vast knowledge of the History of Scotland, the Highlands and Isle of Skye. Also one of the most pleasant and convivial persons I’ve ever met. He was a safe driver and knew the lay of the land very well and offered so much information about each stop. We never would have had such an in depth experience had we tried to go to these places by ourselves. The automobile was wonderful: very comfortable, clean and offered a smooth ride. John took us to all the places we’d been interested in seeing, and even revised the itinerary to include Culloden Battlefield. We hadn’t been on a tour like this, and while we knew the basics, I feel that we were happiest here during our recent two week Scotland trip. I am missing the Isle of Skye terribly. We highly recommend this company and will seek out another experience with Macleod Heilan tours when planning our next trip to Scotland.
