Excursión por la costa de Roatán, snorkel, perezosos y monos, escapada a la playa

The tour was incredible but what made it most memorable was the service! We stopped in Roatán on a cruise and had booked this excursion directly with Roatan Breakaway Tours. One of our kids wasn’t feeling well when we woke up the morning of the tour, so my wife stayed with her on the ship while I went with my daughter on the tour. We let the guide, Jessica, know that it would be just the two of us. Bummer but life happens. However, when we finished the first leg of the tour with the sloth and monkeys, my wife texted that the other kiddo was feeling better and asked if there was any way they could join us. Jessica was great and said YES! She could drop us at the next stop, then go pick them up at the port and let them experience the sloths and monkeys, and then bring them to us at the beach where we could all continue with the snorkeling and beach portion. We couldn’t believe it and were so thankful for their flexibility! As for the tour itself, it was amazing! We loved the sloths and monkeys (the monkeys were my favorite!) and the snorkeling portion was beautiful!! Such clear water and a beautiful reef! The beach resort at Brady’s Cay was beautiful though the food was a little pricey (and not included in the price of the tour). All in all a wonderful experience and extra bonus points to Jessica and the team for being so flexible with our unique situation we had. Highly recommend this tour!

We had such a great time on this excursion and Christian was the best driver and guide! AJ’s animal sanctuary was our favorite part- the staff genuinely cared about the animals, and we were able to pet the sloths and hold the monkeys, which I wasn’t expecting at all. Christian answered all our questions knowledgeably and even made an extra stop on the way back to the ship so that we could do some souvenir shopping. I would highly recommend!!

We went to the monkey/sloth exhibit, snorkeling, and beach day for our excursion. It was very organized and we loved our driver. The activities were perfect and fun! We would definitely do it again.

We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this excursion! We traveled as a family of four, and from the very beginning everything was well organized. The directions for meeting our guide at the port were clear and easy to follow. Our guide, JJ, was absolutely fantastic. He stayed with us throughout the entire day, drove us to each stop on the tour, shared interesting information about the island, and made sure we returned to our cruise ship on time. His friendly personality and knowledge of Roatán made the experience even more enjoyable. Our first stop was AJ's Monkeys & Sloths Rescue Center, and it exceeded every expectation. For our daughter, this was a dream come true! We had close encounters with five sloths, took countless photos, and created memories that will last a lifetime. We also met three beautiful macaws, which happily perched on our arms for even more amazing pictures. The highlight for our son was definitely the monkey exhibit. The playful little monkeys were full of personality, jumping from person to person in search of treats. It was hilarious, interactive, and something we'll never forget. As an added bonus, they offer to have one of their photographers follow your family through all the exhibits if you would like. For our party of 4, it was only $40 and we came home with well over 200 digitals. It was an amazing deal. After our animal adventure, JJ took us to the snorkeling portion of the tour. The water was crystal clear, and the coral reef was beautiful. We spotted a huge lobster and even a baby lionfish while exploring underwater. After snorkeling, the boat brought us to a private beach where we relaxed under umbrellas in comfortable beach chairs, enjoyed some snacks, and soaked up the beautiful surroundings. When it was time to head back, JJ was there waiting to take us to the cruise port. The entire day was seamless, well organized, and exceeded our expectations. This excursion offered the perfect combination of wildlife encounters, snorkeling, and beach relaxation. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Roatán and wouldn't hesitate to book it again!

Animal park was great, even in the rain! Our driver, Andre(not Omar!) was great and got us where we needed to be. The snorkeling was a little confusing with no apparent organization to the groups. Would have been better if not raining but they couldn’t help that.

Breakaway tours was awesome! Probably one of the best excursions and companies we have encountered with Viator. Our driver (Jay) happily accommodated our constantly changing wants due to rain. The animal sanctuary was amazing and the private island (Brady’s Caye) was INCREDIBLE- we had initially planned on staying for 2 hours and ended up staying for 4. Then Jay took us on a hunt for hot sauce we enjoyed on the island. Everyone we encountered with Breakaway was fun, knowledgeable, and seemed to really enjoy their jobs!

The waters were beautiful. Guides were so friendly. The French Key private beach was awesome. Our tour guide stayed with us all day and gave us so much info about the island. The sloth, monkeys, and birds were the freaking best. The sloths were soft, and they held on to you. The monkeys jumped around and onto you and ate from your hands. Absolutely the best trip ever.

Our driver Ernie Webseer was beyond wonderful and showed true hospitality! He gave us first class service more than we ever would have expected! I will definitely book again just because of his hospitality. We had an amazing time because of him! Make sure to book this fabulous adventure!

I was hesitant to book an excursion not through the cruise line. I traveled with my wife and 2 young kids. We met Omar outside the gate, he walked us to his car and took us on the trip. First the guinea pigs, sloths and monkeys which my kids loved and everyone there was great. Then to the private beach where we were able to relax and swim until it was time to snorkel. The guide was great. He finished the snorkel tour and took us back to the private beach so we could order lunch and drinks (not included). Then Omar brought us back to the port with hours to spare before the ship left. I highly recommend this.
