Our family of four had a great time on the kayak trip. Our guides Zach and Eli were very informative. We stopped many times for them to point out wildlife. We saw starfish, otters, and many bald eagles. It was a great experience.
Had a great day out on the water with Brenden and Greyson! They got us geared up, instructed us on what to expect, and out on the water quickly. The paddling was fun and we saw eagles and seals on our trip. Great memory for us.
Our guides were very friendly and helpful. Zach and Brenden are the best!
Excellent tour and guide. Lucy was phenomenal as a guide. She is so accommodating and helpful. Best day of my cruise.
Adeline and Summer were excellent guides. They were very attentive to customer safety and comfort. They were very knowledgeable about the wildlife and plants of the area. I learned a lot from them. They were very responsive to all my questions. I recommend this excursion, and I highly recommend requesting Summer and Adeline as your guides.
The bus was late because the speed odometer wasn’t working so we got a late start. Isn’t there a safety check the night before? The guides were knowledgeable and somewhat friendly.
My adult sons and I enjoyed sea kayaking with our guide Sara. She shared so much information about what we saw and we felt confused and safe with her. We saw dozens of bald eagles, a sea lion, seals, constellations of starfish, and the gorgeous plants and trees on the islands.
Bre did an amazing job and was extremely knowledgeable, we had a great time on the water!!!
My boyfriend and I booked this excursion through Carnival during our July 2026 Alaska cruise, and it was an unforgettable experience! Our guide, Katie, was fantastic—knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. There were six of us total in three tandem kayaks, and although every group naturally paddled at a different pace, Katie never rushed anyone. She made the experience feel relaxed while always keeping safety a priority. If you're wondering about the equipment, the life jackets come in multiple sizes, and the tandem kayaks have a rudder controlled by the person in the back seat. My boyfriend mentioned afterward that the rudder is very responsive, so it takes a light touch. This was only my second time kayaking and my first time on the ocean, and I found it very manageable. Just know you'll be sitting for about two hours, so take a moment to get comfortable in your seat before pushing off—I wish I had! These are sit-inside kayaks, not sit-on-top models. We crossed open water twice, which was the most challenging part of the trip, but communicating with your paddling partner made it much easier. The wildlife absolutely made this excursion. Theo, the local sea lion, seemed fascinated by our group and stayed interested in us for much of the trip. We also saw countless sea stars, learned about the area's bald eagles, spotted several adult eagles from the water, and even looked up to see around 15 eagles soaring overhead at the same time. It was an incredible sight. We only spotted one harbor seal, likely because several other tour groups were on the water that morning. Katie also shared that orcas and humpback whales are known to pass through the area during migration season. As incredible as that would have been, I'll happily stick with a curious Theo! I would 110% book this excursion again. And even though I'm a VERY Type A person who likes to be in control, I'd still choose the scenic front seat of the tandem kayak every time. If you're looking for a peaceful adventure with beautiful scenery, incredible wildlife, and an excellent guide, this tour is absolutely worth it.
Had an incredible time kayaking around the islands and looking for wildlife and enjoying the scenery. Our guides, Jess and Zach were incredible and very informative. Cannot recommend this trip more!
