Tenga en cuenta: los viernes la Mezquita Azul estará cerrada hasta las 2.30 pm para la oración, no se permitirá la entrada. Uno de los monumentos más famosos del mundo turco e islámico, la Mezquita del Sultán Ahmet (también conocida como la Mezquita Azul) es una creación excelente en el estilo clásico otomano. La mezquita tiene seis minaretes altísimos y 260 ventanas que iluminan su vasta cámara principal, que está decorada con más de 20,000 azulejos Iznik.
El Hipódromo fue una vez el corazón de la vida política y deportiva de Constantinopla, y el escenario de juegos y disturbios a través de 500 años de historia otomana. Hoy es un parque de la ciudad llamado At Meydanı (Horse Grounds) debido a su función en la época otomana. El Hipódromo incluye el Obelisco de granito egipcio de 3500 años de antigüedad, traído a Constantinopla por el emperador Teodosio en el año 390 DC.

We took this tour on our first day in Istanbul (a few days ago). Our guide was kind, informative, and so funny! Very easy to talk to. She answered all of our questions, even my irrelevant ones (how to say “thank you” in Turkish, safety tips, etc). I really enjoyed her company and she made the tour so much fun! The order we did things in was perfect in my opinion, and the hand-knotted rug demonstration was such a cool unique experience that I wouldn’t have been able to do on my own. Loved it!!

The highlight of my trip to Istanbul. Our tour guide, Seckin D. Was beyond our expectations. He knew every answer to our questions and went way beyond any guide we’ve ever had. The location of the palace so close to the mosque and the exhibits were great! Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared very interesting information.
