A lo largo de una hora, exploraremos el paisaje urbano, adentrándonos en los orígenes de la ciudad, sus animadas fiestas, su reconocida gastronomía y aspectos sociales y culturales clave de la vida contemporánea. Después de nuestro paseo por la ciudad, tomaremos un taxi hasta el majestuoso Castillo de Santa Bárbara. Aquí, aprenderás sobre la rica historia de la fortaleza, desde sus orígenes musulmanes hasta sus dos expansiones significativas, y su papel estratégico durante la Guerra Civil Española. Únase a nosotros para un viaje inolvidable a través del pasado y presente de Alicante, combinando conocimientos históricos con el encanto moderno. El punto de encuentro. Un edificio emblemático que representa la llegada del siglo XX. Situado en la Explanada de España, representa el estilo modernista de la ciudad y es un edificio que marcó una época en el desarrollo turístico y urbanístico. Desde aquí comenzaremos nuestra ruta por la ciudad para descubrir sus rincones con más encanto.
El Ayuntamiento es el centro neurálgico de la ciudad, desde donde se extienden la Calle Mayor y el barrio de Santa Cruz. Es un entorno lleno de vida, comercios, monumentos y restaurantes donde el visitante puede deleitarse con las formas de vida, los paisajes urbanos y nuestros mejores productos. El Ayuntamiento fue construido en el siglo XVIII y alberga el punto de medición de todas las alturas de España.
Una de las vistas más emblemáticas de la ciudad y del casco antiguo. Una iglesia barroca que encierra la historia de la ciudad y desde donde podremos disfrutar de unas vistas fabulosas. La iglesia formaba parte de las murallas de la ciudad y alberga una interesante colección de arte barroco. Justo al lado se encuentra el museo de arte contemporáneo, desde donde tendremos unas vistas panorámicas únicas de la ciudad.
El Castillo de Santa Bárbara fue el origen de la ciudad musulmana de Alicante. Cuenta con tres periodos constructivos y explica los acontecimientos más importantes que ha vivido la ciudad, desde la conquista musulmana hasta la Guerra Civil Española. Pasaremos por la Puerta de la Santa Faz para llegar al "matxo" del castillo (la parte superior), y después disfrutarás de una copa en una de las terrazas más mágicas de la ciudad.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and the history of the area that he provided was excellent. The castle was amazing!

My wife and I met Javier. We started with a shuttle ride up to Santa Barbara Castle. As the shuttle ride wound its way up the castle Javier began telling us about the history of some of the sights/buildings the shuttle passed. When we made our way to the castle the history of the castle from the early beginnings to the present day continued. Javier was an amazing guide through history of not only the castle but also Alicante as far as the eyes could see. Our tour of the castle finished by walking down to Alicante through the barrio Santa Cru (?) known for it’s narrow pathways with white homes and blue color. Javier showed us discovered ruins in the city, churches, museums, the large nativity scene and so much more which I can’t describe here. It seemed that every time we turned a corner there was another piece of history which we happened upon. And with every turn there was someone who knew Javier. What could be more of a compliment than in a city that with every turn Javier was seemingly known by so many. Javier we can only say thank you for sharing your knowledge of Alicante and Spain with us. Great job!

I would give this tour company a zero if I could. They didn’t show up and left us stranded. We called them 10 times, sent messages and waited for 45 minutes. They ruined our only day in Alicante. Do not book with this company.

Tour guide never showed up and we tried calling 10 different times and no answer. Contacted Viator to hopefully get refunded.
