Flor, our tour guide was very passionate and knowledgeable. Everything went according to plan as she explained exactly what we will be visiting during the tour with a time frame. She even recommended a few good restaurants in Barcelona, our next stop.

Don’t miss this tour. We were lucky, Flor, was our guide. She’s knowledgeable, friendly, kind, patient. It was a hot and extremely humid day but she accommodated all the different physical concerns of our group. From the historical walk around Alicante’s old town to the Santa Barbara Castle, she shared a wealth of information and welcomed and answered all questions. For those who stayed in Alicante after the tour ended, she provided more information to get to their places of interest in and around town. A bus picked us up from the port for the 5 minute or so ride into town. After our walk, the bus drove us to Santa Barbara Castle and afterwards, the bus dropped those who wanted to stay in town back in town and brought the rest of us back to the cruise ship. Please note, the walkways in the historic area are cobble stones, uneven in many places. Santa Barbara Castle also is cobbled, uneven in many places and a steep walk in several places to the top of the castle. There is an elevator for those who require assistance to almost the top (though not the top). The views are amazing from the castle!
