Nice tour

The tour was wonderful. Our guide was very friendly & knew all about the history etc . The Wine & Coffee tasting was really good. We were not rushed & had plenty time to explore. Recommend this tour.

Fantastic, highly recommend!

The tour was fantastic! We learnt lots and it gave us the chance to visit areas of the North that we hadn’t been to before. Our guide was lovely and the bus was comfortable, picking us up right in the heart of Vegueta. Our only feedback is that it would have been nice to have a little more time at some of the earlier stops.

Excellent trip

An excellent trip to two villages and then to wine, cheese and coffee tasting at a mountain valley restaurant, where they grow and roast their own coffee. The food tasting was an extra charge but at €7.50 each for three glasses of wine, coffee plus cheese, crackers and cake, it was a bargain. The guide Fran was very friendly and knowledgeable, and made the day very enjoyable. There wasn’t a lot at the final stop, Puerto de las Nieves, but it was a pleasant enough place. We couldn’t really see the spectacular cliffs there as all the views were so hazy: sand in the atmosphere from the Sahara, Fran said, and unfortunately you can’t do much about that.

Good way to see some of the island

Good overall trip. Guide very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. Could be improved by cutting out first stop which was from a car park viewing bananas ( going to a banana plantation in the afternoon) from the bus. This would allow more time at other stops. Overall a good day.

Respuesta del operador

Hi Barry Thanks for your kind commentary. About cutting out Banana fields stop, quite complicate to do it as many other guest love much to see and make photos close to this tropical fruit. Anyway again thanks for taking your time. Hope to see you again on board. Bruno j. Knudsen

definitely worth it

An excellent way to get to know the north of the island. We were able to visit different climatic zones of the island in a matter of hours, from the interesting villages around small volcanoes like Aruca (with its fascinating neo-gothic cathedral), to banana, coffee, grape and citrus plantations in the Berrazales valley. We tasted different cheeses accompanied by a glass of wine of our choice (7.50 eur p.p extra), and a delicious coffee and cake, all locally produced. And the town of Agaete with its fascinating scenery of cliffs and crystal clear waters. Completely recommended! especially thanks to the magnificent driver and Fran our fantastic guide, who was always full of knowledge on every subject and his humor kept us smiling.

Great introduction to the north of Gran Canaria

Skilled driver and friendly tour guide. Lots of toilet stops factored in. Good to see areas in the north of the island briefly - Agaete, Figras, Aruca. Tasted 4 local cheese accompanied by a small glass of wine if your choice (red or white) -extra €7.50 per person. Delicious! Went to quickly look at a banana plantation, and visited an area where they grow oranges, coffee beans and some grapes. Tasted coffee and homemade cake there. Great for a brief intro to the north. Would recommend it!

Excellent

Fantastic experience, allows you to discover an essential aspect of Gran Canaria: the production of high quality products: the cheese and coffee tasting helps to recognize them. In addition to visiting very beautiful places, ranging from the fertile valley to the beautiful port of Agaete The guide Fran is very professional and gives good details about each place visited and answers every doubt or question that helps you better understand the uniqueness of the area. I emphasize punctuality and that, being a small group, the day is taken advantage of. 100% recommended !

Tour worth doing

This tour is different from the rest of the tours and is worth doing. Firgas and Arucas are quaint little towns and very beautiful. The banana plantation is a unique experience. We didn't do the optional cheese/wine tasting, so cannot comment on that experience. The coffee tasting is included and is a nice experience. The orchard in which this experience takes place is beautiful. We enjoyed taking pics in the fruit trees. The peaks of Agaete are impressive and so is the natural swimming pool on the beach.
