The tour experience was very good, the guides (Onan and David) were very kind and attentive, they clarified any questions you had, they make you feel very comfortable, and the trip is very enjoyable. At all times they offer you drinks and snacks before the meal. My complaint is for Tripadvisor, because when making the reservation, they gave us a coupon with a 30% discount and they did not apply it in full, plus they do not give you any information on where to go to report the issue.
Buenas familia, gracias por vuestro mensaje y que hayan disfrutado con nosotros a bordo. Vamos a trasladar esta información en la plataforma. Mil gracias Nuevamente. Os esperamos nuevamente a bordo. Hasta pronto!!
1/5 star - really bad communication, very unprofessional We booked this catamaran tour as the highlight for the end of our trip to Gran Canaria. Unfortunately they told us one day before the cruise that our chosen date will not be possible (no reason just “not possible”) The suggested the next day and went totally silent - when we tried to agree to the alternative day they did not respond until 20 before the boat would depart. We were totally in the dark - nobody talked to us and we couldn’t make the trip due to that. We asked multiple times where to meet them for the start of the trip and they did not answer it at all - so even if we would have been able to make it 20 min before the trip (when they answered) we would not have know where to go … + we booked pick up to the location and this was entirely ignored. Honestly - don’t do it, safe your money or find an alternative operator.
It was a magnificent trip, a highly recommended experience. The food was good, activities were a 10.
Excellent trip for the whole family. My husband and I went with our 2 boys aged 11 and 14. We were picked up from Playa del ingles by a friendly driver and taken to the catamaran. The short walk to the catamaran was very scenic. The staff in the boat were very friendly, informative and attentive. We were out on the boat for 4 hours and made 2 stops to swim, snorkel and have fun on the paddle boards. The food was lovely. We were greeted by our driver on return and taken back to our hotel. I would highly recommend this trip to both families and couples.
The catamaran tour was quite nice overall and the team was really friendly. However, the actual trip was significantly shorter than expected, at perhaps 30 minutes to 1 hour. The advertised stops at the "most beautiful beaches" didn't exist either – we didn't actually stop at any beach, and they weren't beautiful. At the first stop, SUPs were not possible due to wind and waves; at the second stop, you could briefly get on the water, but there were only four SUPs available for about ten children and the other guests. Unfortunately, that meant there was no SUP for me. I booked the tour via TripAdvisor for 55 € – for that price, it was okay in my view. However, I find the regular price of 79 € significantly too high given the service. The friendliness of the team makes many things pleasant, but unfortunately, it doesn't change the fact that the tour promises more in the description than it ultimately offers.
100% recommended and the crew wonderful, attentive, friendly. I highly recommend it. Everything has been fabulous. The food a 10. Thanks for everything. The people here on the island are the best.
It was good. The food and choice of drinks on board was great. Staff very friendly and keen to please. The catamaran was comfortable with plenty of space to relax. Just to note that the communication regarding pick up was a bit late and we were due to be picked up at 9:15am and didn’t get picked up until 9:45am which was a bit annoying. On the trip itself you don’t go very far and the boat uses its motor, no sailing at alll. Not a problem particularly but worthwhile knowing. We definitely enjoyed it though!
We had booked the tour via Tripadvisor for Wednesday afternoon, with our own transportation. When we arrived around 2:40 p.m., we were surprised that no one else was there yet... until we spoke to someone on the boat and then found out that a trip in the afternoon does not take place :( we were very disappointed because we had been looking forward to it so much. After a few phone calls with the "boss" Natalia, who supposedly had already sent us an email with the cancellation info (none has arrived to this day), we were offered a rebooking or a refund. Since we could only make it on this day, we took the money back. This also worked out, I only give two stars for "Captain" Onan, who was super friendly and felt very sorry for us... we were still allowed to chill on the boat with him at the harbor for a bit and we had a drink together. Really a shame.. we had been looking forward to it so much.
1 star — Extremely disappointing and misleading experience. DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR!!!! This was by far one of the most disappointing experiences of our trip to Gran Canaria. We booked this boat tour in advance, only to have the activity provider cancel our booking less than 24 hours before the scheduled departure. This was particularly disappointing because it was our last day in Gran Canaria, meaning we had very little possibility of finding a suitable alternative. What made the situation considerably worse, however, was the explanation we were given. We contacted the provide, explained that it was our last day on Gran Canaria and asked whether it might be possible to move another booking so that we could still join the tour. (We had already paid for the boat tour and gotten several confirmations.) They said that they will look in to whether that was possible and that they would reach back to us and let us know. After hours of no response back from them, we had to call ourselves. We were then told that this was not possible because the remaining bookings consisted of large groups, and therefore they could not rearrange the reservations. This was only 14 hours before the scheduled departure. (Late evening the night before.) Unfortunately, we later discovered that this explanation was simply not truthful. After finding another boat tour, Afrikat, which we actually highly recommend, we saw the original tour boat out at sea ourselves. We could clearly see numerous couples and small groups of only two or three people on board. This directly contradicted what we had been told about there only being large groups that could not be moved. Being cancelled at the last minute is frustrating enough. Being given an explanation that, based on what we subsequently witnessed ourselves, was clearly misleading is something else entirely. We had to chase them for an update ourselves. We had been told they would come back to us, but they never did. We contacted them again around 14 hours before the scheduled booking just to find out what was happening. The impression this left us with is that the company overbooks, cancels customers at short notice when it suits them, and then does not take responsibility for the inconvenience caused. That is simply not how a serious customer-focused business should operate. For anyone considering a boat tour in Gran Canaria, we would strongly recommend Afrikat instead. We booked with them after this cancellation and had a very positive experience. Their service felt professional, organised and genuinely customer-focused. Very unserious handling of customers, extremely poor communication, and an explanation that did not match what we later witnessed ourselves. They straight up lied to us. We will not book with this company again and we warn you not to!!
I have done the tour for the 2nd time and a 3rd will certainly follow. time.
