Itinerario

Very cheap and worth it as you get a tour guide who travels with you in the car and it’s like a private tour as it is just your family. Our guide Adrian was very knowledgeable and kind, told us lots of good information and allowed us to determine how long we spend at each place. The place he recommended to eat was really good especially as a vegetarian where food is difficult to find. Best trip in the country and worth every penny.
The road is very curvy and narrow that is not recommend to self drive. Use bus or guide as necessary, the restrooms and sinks are lovated the entrance which is convinent to use. The view is amazing
We had a fabulous day ,Evo our guide was so knowledgeable, and made our day , lovely man, the Bridges were amazing and veiws from top , he also took some photos for us ,there was a bit of climbing but it was all worth it , Kosovo was a lovely little village like something lost in time , Monestary was good very ornate and the reasterant we went in on way back good food .
Dear traveler, Thank you for this review. It really means a lot to us. Our team wishes you many more adventures!
We really enjoyed this tour. Start was at the Marvelous Bridges, a really worth seeing piece of nature. However, sturdy footwear is very helpful! The village of Kosovo is basically uninhabited. This, too, has rarity value. Graduation at the monastery was unexpected. We had never seen so many frescoes and icons in one place. Our guide Krasi explained everything wonderfully and entertained us magnificently all day. Thank you so much!
It was very lovely. The guide was considerate, did not rush us and took breaks as needed. The views and the Monastery were amazing and overall it was a great experience!
I had been debating whether to go on this trip or to Thrakian heritage but then opted for nature. Luckily we had Adrian as a guide who is an archaeologist by training and knew everything about Bulgarian history. So we did learn a lot from him even without doing the archeology tour. Thanks Adrian, talking to you was phantastic. I found the village a bit disappointing but I probably had the wrong expectation. The monastery on the other hand was much more interesting than I had expected. The organization (ride, punctuality, information in advance) was top.
I know all of Bulgaria well and it is really worth visiting. Plovdiv, nesebar, burgas, Sofia and many other places
Ivo is supremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history and culture of Bulgaria, giving us a great background to the trip. He drove us safely in the comfortable air conditioned vehicle. The ‘bridges’ are well worth the 2hr winding, scenic drive. Wear shoes with good grip as paths are steep & slippery in places. You won’t be walking far from the vehicle & can opt out of any paths you’re not happy about. Absolutely magical place! Next, to interesting old village then delicious food stop (ask Ivo for recommendations). Last stop at the ornate monastery- more great stories, facts and descriptions from Ivo! Wonderful, un-hurried, memorable day. Thank you from the four of us.
What an awesome day we had in the Rhodope Mountains! Our guide Ivo was friendly, helpful and so very knowledgeable about the mountains and the history of Bulgaria and the whole Balkans region. The Wonderful Bridges are so much more impressive in real life than in photos, and we thoroughly enjoyed wandering alongside the river, walking the streets of Kosovo and into some of the buildings at the monastery, all the while with Ivo making the history come alive! As for lunch, we had the best bob (bean stew) and makitsa!!
This was a great day trip from Plovdiv. About an hour and half drive out to the mountains, the drive was beautiful. The bridges were bigger than I expected and Ivo, my guide had a ton of knowledge about all the landscape, the history of the town of Kosovo, and the monastery. We had a GREAT lunch that day too and wonderful conversation along the way. There is light hiking involved which was fun and he took a bunch of good photos on my phone for me out there. I want to thank him and Bultrips for not canceling that day even though I was the only one that signed up for that day. It was EXCELLENT and I recommend it to anyone visiting Plovdiv area.
