Excursión de un día a San Sebastián desde Bilbao : Santuario de Loyola & Getaria
Descripción
Desde Bilbao nos dirigiremos hacia la provincia de Gipuzkoa, pasando por localidades como Eibar, Elgoibar y Azkoitia. Llegaremos al santuario de Loyola, donde visitaremos el lugar de nacimiento de Ignacio de Loyola, la figura más famosa de la zona. Continuaremos nuestro viaje por la costa de Zumaia, llegando al pueblo pesquero de Getaria, donde visitaremos su casco histórico. Continuaremos por Zarauz y finalmente llegaremos a San Sebastián donde tendrás tiempo libre para almorzar y disfrutar de una de las mejores gastronomías del mundo. Después del almuerzo visitaremos el Monte Igeldo desde donde podremos ver la increíble vista de la Bahía de La Concha.

Visita guiada al famoso Santuario de Loyola, construido alrededor de la histórica casa torre de la familia Loyola, explorando su impresionante arquitectura y rico patrimonio cultural.
Visita guiada a pie por Getaria, un encantador pueblo costero conocido por su patrimonio pesquero y cuna del reconocido diseñador de moda Cristóbal Balenciaga. Pasee por sus pintorescas calles, sumérjase en la cultura local, disfrute de impresionantes vistas al mar y tenga tiempo libre para explorar a su propio ritmo.
Paseo panorámico por Zarautz, hogar de la playa más larga del País Vasco y un destino de surf de fama mundial. Disfrute de impresionantes vistas costeras a su paso por esta vibrante ciudad costera.
Visita guiada a pie por el hermoso casco antiguo de San Sebastián. Disfrute de tiempo libre para almorzar en el centro de la ciudad, donde se encuentra la mayor concentración de bares del mundo, perfecta para degustar pintxos tradicionales. Very pleasant tour with a very personable and helpful guide. Stephane. He was courteous and helpful to an old man with a cane making sure I kept up, advised me, in advance of any difficulties I might encounter with stairs and steep slopes.

Excellent trip to see a variety of interesting places: Loyola, and the sanctuary dedicated to St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuits; the fishing village of Getaria, with its view of the sea and its association with Juan Sebastian Elcano, the first man to circumnavigate the world; then a very nice visit to the resort city of San Sebastian with its old town, beach, and great views. Highly recommended day trip from Bilbao!

It is a good mix of guided and free time. Some inclined walking, so keep in mind. Great picture stops also. We could even see Biarritz across the water!

This was our second tour with Stefan. He has a deep and broad knowledge that brings not only the places to life but the journey in between (and a quirky sense of humour to boot!). Loyolla is fascinating, if compact, being the beginnings of the Jesuit order. Getaria is a nice break in the journey to San Sebastian. San Sebastian is incredible and probably deserves at least a whole day to itself, if not a stay in its own right.
