También visitamos el histórico Eton, hogar de la escuela privada más famosa de Gran Bretaña, donde han estudiado 18 ex primeros ministros británicos, líderes mundiales y la realeza. Habrá mucho tiempo libre para comprar sus recuerdos reales.
Continuamos hacia Oxford, donde disfrutamos de una visita guiada a pie por una de las universidades más antiguas y famosas del mundo. Nuestro recorrido incluye el Teatro Sheldonian, la Biblioteca Bodleian, el Puente de los Suspiros, Radcliffe Camera, Christ Church "Harry Potter" College, Balliol College, Merton College y mucho más. You walk around the outside of the castle and get free time; in Oxford you also see the outside of things. The Ashmolean Museum is free and worth it; Oxford interior tours all sold out before we got there. Windsor Castle tour longer than we had there. Good view from along river, but not as complete an experience as visiting Cambridge and Greenwich.
Our guide was very informative, however most of the day was spent on a bus. Only exterior views and information of the buildings were included resulting in a good bit of walking. I unfortunately overlooked the description of this tour that stated interiors were not included.
Another tour with the same fun guide Laura, it was nice to see difference with cambridge as both have famous old universitys. Oxford is so much bigger, the tour was longer and interesting. There is more to do in free time, I could not decide so I went to the market the guide showed us to go to for shopping and food, a cool place, and enjoyed walking by the university buildings after. Windsor is nice but I would have liked more time in oxford and want to go back for longer, I like it so much. We saw guards in windsor so I was lucky as the guide said it is not every day so find out before going . Thank you again Laura and for being kind with advise on places to visit.
