Excellent organization, very comfortable ride! We were lucky to be only 6 in the mini bus (weekday excursion) a real luxury because the journey is still long from Dublin. The road of the giants is definitely worth a visit, the place is unusual and full of history, the audio guide is indispensable for non-English speakers. We ate in the mythical Causeway Hotel, very warm and very good value for money. For the excursion to Belfast, we took the option of a guide tour by black taxi: a tour made by a local guide who recounts, without bias, the events that marked Northern Ireland and especially the city of Belfast following the conflict between Protestants and Catholics, and a visit to the places marked by this conflict, which is still very much remembered because very recent. Finally a word for our driver, Jim, who knew with finesse and hint of humor the history of Ireland and the Irish. Very rich, precise comments, a very kind person who contributed to the discovery of this beautiful country ️ Little advice: understanding English is a real added value to this excursion in order to understand the explanations of the driver and I would advise her more at the beginning of the trip than at the end, because it is still tiring.
I was quite disappointed with this tour. We spent more time inside the bus than actually visiting places. The stops were short and honestly not very interesting. The highlight for me was Killarney National Park, but we only had about 20 minutes there, which was just enough to see the Torc Waterfall. There wasn’t enough time to walk to the lakes or explore other areas. The itinerary also mentioned Killorglin and Dingle Bay, but the bus didn’t stop at either of those places, we just drove past them. The driver on the other hand was very friendly and the bus was comfortable, but overall I expected much more from this experience.
Paddywagon does a great job of pointing out sites and explaining some of Ireland's history during the ride. We had plenty of time at photo stops to enjoy the scenery. Instead of dropping us off on our own in a new town, the guide took us on a short walk and highlighted some sites we could go back and explore more. The surprise excursion we could take via horse and buggy in the National Forest was a highlight. Highly recommend.
While the views were beautiful around the Ring of Kerry rude, passive aggressive, unhelpful driver. Went the whole trip anxious due to this. Left passengers unattended in hot bus for 20 minutes with no explanation 3 minutes in. Spent the first 15 minutes of the journey SCREAMING at us all for talking. Everyone stopped talking and he kept yelling to stop talking. this dude hearing things? He yelled at us and pulled over and then spoke for maybe 5 minutes. The meltdown was longer than his talking. Every question about what time we had to get back, etc., was met with a passive aggressive comment. You could hear his road rage and passive aggressive comments about passengers as well. The guy seemed stressed out, god forbid we want to clarity to not make him more angry. While i’m very understanding that this is a stressful job, the attitude wasn’t necessary. We did 4 buses this week and all of the other drivers were beyond positive and charming.
A very disappointing tour considering the time and money you spent. If you want to spend about 11 hours in a bus ride and 1 hour at gas stations then go ahead. Except a small beach nothing special and a small waterfall don’t expect too see much. A guide who hardly explains anything except asking which music he wants to play in the bus and always delayed departures due to some guests not showing up on time the whole experience was a big 0. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone
The worse tour that I have even been on. This tour guide lacks knowledge of the areas we were visiting, he kept repeating himself about energy, electricity, playing music to pass the time, no history of the areas covered. He'll be pointing at leprechauns on cars, roofs in houses, Angus cows. It was painful. I was so inclined to get off at one of the stops, and find a way home. It was painful! Money, and a whole day wasted! Tour guide was focused on selling the horse and carriage ride at Killarney National Park. He even had pictures that he was going around the bus showing us, so that we can go on the tour for $16. This selling lasted for hours, every stop, until he was able to get about 30 passengers. He was determined! A few of us that refused, went on the same tour independently for $8 per person! No wonder he was trying so hard to sell that trip. I hate throwing the race card, but I can't think of any reason why this tour guide would not call the Barack Obama rest stop by the name. He kept referring to it as "a stop that I couldn't say the name" WHY? Why then do you make a stop there? There are many other stops, save yourself the heartache! This tour was pathetic! I did a tour the day before to the Cliffs of moher with Finn McCools, and it was fabulous! We learned so much! We had so much fun! Whatever you do, please AVOID PADDYWAGON. Find another company! This was TORTURE! I best satisfaction was not leaving a tip! I have never not tipped in my life, but this was me breaking the rules. This trip was atrocious! I was going to book another trip, the Giant causeway with them, but thankfully, I did with a better company.
Incorrect description as a whole. Long trip for general disappointment. Horseback ride not indicated at 16€ / person not provided for in the budget...
The tour was very lovely and I liked the option to take a horse ride through Killarny National Park. The waterfall was great as well. However, we did not drive through Killorglin (home of Puck Fair) as stated on the Website. The driver explained that it has not be done for years. Yet, there was plenty of time at inch beach and the views of the coast were stunning. It is a great tour to see beautiful nature. Even though, it is a long drive, I can recommend this tour to everyone who wants to see the beautiful county of Kerry and has no time for a multi-day tour!
Great tour seeing highlights of Kerry, Killarney National Park. Our driver Eduardo was fun and attentive. We couldn’t do the Torc waterfall due to a cycliing event in Killarney causing road closures. However, Eduardo took us to alternate view points that were amazing. Couple of feedback items: 1. the loading point for Paddywagon tours outside Paddy’s palace is not well marked. Maybe put up a board there. Many people circled the block trying to find it without any luck. 2. The optional extra charge horse ride is highly recommended. However, they fit 8 people per carriage and it was really tight with no space to move. As the driver pointed out different attractions, half the people couldn’t see it as it was behind their back and no space to turn around. We saw other carriages (non Paddywagon passengers) with less number of people in them
Great bus and well organised. Learnt a lot about Ireland from our guide. If we knew how beautiful it is in Kerry earlier we would have stayed on that side of Ireland.
