Tor and Joe energetically guided us across the lake, near the waterfall, and up close and personal to the glacier. Simply beautiful to behold! These two made the day! Equipment was well maintained and fitted.
We loved the guides Elymus and Brady with their informative and humorous commentary. Elymus shared his extensive knowledge of nature in Alaska as we canoed. A highlight was gliding silently near cliffs of nesting birds. Brady was a strong lead paddler and shared his knowledge through his experience hiking on the glacier itself. Overall a well run, safe, relaxing, unrushed and wonderous immersion in pristine Alaskan nature! So much more could be said!
We loved this experience! Sophie and Tor were the best guides. They were knowledgeable, kept us safe and really funny! They had us laughing throughout the canoe ride. It was really neat to canoe across the lake and then hike so close to the glacier. There was hardly anyone else there, so it was peaceful and the views were so beautiful. A really fun day!
We had a great time on this adventure. They provided all of the gear and we provided some rowing and hiking power. Not overly strenuous at all. Our guides were informative and fun. I would totally recommend this tour.
We had a great time. The crew was very helpful and informative. I would highly recommend this if you like going the extra mile.
Tor and Joe did a great job of showing us the lake and glacier. Very informative and entertaining. Great way to see the glacier and nugget falls.
Great trip! Hannah and Elisha were great guides that enhanced the experience. Its a great being able to canoe in an open lake with the scenic surroundings. Thanks for making it fun.
It was awesome Elisha and Hannah very so fun and awesome and very insightful. I had a great time and would highly recommend!
This was the best activity we did in Alaska - it was extremely rewarding and we'd do it again without a second thought if we were visiting Juneau again. We got lucky with great weather for the paddle and the hike to the glacier face, giving us great conditions and visibility for the entire experience. The paddle across the lake was mildly challenging but nothing excessive for someone with a good level of upper body fitness, just enough to make you feel like you've earned the close up views of the glacier face. Our guides, Cortland and Joe, were brilliant - they really made the experience shine with their light-hearted approach, and from the way they ran the trip it was clear they are both extremely professional and love sharing the wilderness experience with guests. 10/10: we'd come back for their dad jokes and canoe pep talks any time.
Spent the day with Tor and Joe canoeing/ hiking around a glacier. They were both absolutely amazing. I couldn’t believe how knowledgeable they both were. This was the first season for both of them, and they operated as if they have been doing this for decades. Great chemistry and humour between the two of them. Couldn’t have asked for better guides to take us through Juneau.
