Was looking for something that Two teenage granddaughters have not experienced living in Chicago. This took them. by surprise and they totally got into the excursion. Mark our driver and Captain Jack our boat operator and guide were excellent
The trip was good , however we were told the pick was 13:40 so we got there for 13:25, didn’t get picked up until 14:35, we had to keep contacting the company. Felt really let down waiting around for all that time. Didn’t even get an apology when we did get picked up, would seem like your holiday time is of no concern to them.
Really good trip. From pick up to drop off everything was easy. Our driver was very helpful and the guide we had on the boat ride was excellent. Captain Castle was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Everglades and therefore made the experience memorable. Highly recommend. Jack
We were picked up 5 minutes ahead of schedule but we drove 15 minutes to pick up the next party, waited at the hotel and driver made a phone call to find out the party had already been picked up so then drove back to where we had started!! We then picked up another 2 parties in our resort and was expecting another party to join but again they had already been picked up too, we were in the vehicle for well over an hour before getting on the road to the Everglades! The driver was on his phone when driving and veering off over to the other side of the road at times! The airboat ride was good fun, we did see quite a few gators, the walk round the animals back at the park took less than 5 minutes, the croc show was quite short too! The staff were all fun and seemed knowledgeable! For the return journey one party decided to get an uber so our return was much better as only 2 parties to drop off. It was an ok day, nothing amazing!
If you have any reservations about this activity, DON’T! One of the best value activities I’ve ever taken part in. Bruce, our tour guide/driver, was super knowledgeable and insightful about the area and the Everglades. This package was the “VIP package” for the park, so free waters, earplugs, and ponchos were given to us. It includes a 60 minute airboat ride where we were lucky to see at least a half-dozen gators, a gator show, and even get to pay a little extra to pose with a baby gator or snake. Took us a little over 4 hours from our designated pickup time to drop off back at the hotel. Staff are all super nice and take care of you with anything you may need. The cost of this activity, $58, would’ve cost me more in Ubers alone to get there and back had I booked separately, so if you’re in FLL/Miami region and don’t have transportation, this is a must-have activity experience!!
Easy booking! Timely pickup! Airboat ride worth it's weight in Alligator gold! I would definitely recommend!
Our flight didn't leave until 5:30 pm. This was a perfect activity for us. They picked us up, watched our luggage and took us straight to the airport! They even had car seats for the littles. Our guide Mark was so friendly and accommodating! He really did make it a "VIP" experience for us! The boat guide Captain Castle knew a lot and was very passionate about what he was teaching us. He made sure we saw lots of cool things. We were able to see 5 gators! The guy who did the gator show was funny and also very knowledgeable. There was lots of accomodations for the heat and it was a very nice little place. I would definitely recommend!!
Crew was very friendly and funny our family group of nine loved every minute.captain kios was the best and our shuttle driver mark was informative of park and Miami
The tour is very beautiful and interesting. Right upon arrival we were very well received by the staff, who explained everything right. Then we wait for our boat, which already creates a huge expectation, mainly because the boats are different and make a lot of noise. The captain was super attentive throughout the ride. As soon as we boarded, we started the journey as he told curiosities about the place and its inhabitants in a light and fun way. We didn’t see many crocodiles in the water — only two — but it was still very interesting. We also saw several different birds and the landscape during the walk is really beautiful and unique. After the boat tour, there is a presentation about crocodiles, which is very educational. The presenter seems to respect animals a lot and explains many interesting curiosities. You had a part teaching how to act if one of these animals appears near the house, which I found very valid and informative. On the other hand, some parts of the experience made me uncomfortable. At a certain point in the presentation, the boy physically interacts with one of the crocodiles, reaching to the animal. At first it seems something controlled, but then it becomes noticeable that the animal is disturbed, and I honestly did not like that part. The site also has other animals and there are spaces to take pictures with snake and crocodile. However, the jacaré keeps his mouth stuck with a tape for the photos, which I also did not find legal. I understand it's for safety, but seeing the animal immobilized just for paid photos apart ends up being unnecessary. Overall, it was a different, beautiful and educational experience, but I believe that some interactions with the animals could be more respectful. The animals are beautiful and deserve all care and respect.
Bruce made the experience so memorable! The airboat tour was not has fun as expected due to the water levels low so we only went down and back the one canal, plus our guide on that boat was pretty disengaged/monotone. But having Bruce guide us around all day, giving us the history of the Everglades and Florida, made the trip.
