Nos apasiona descubrir a pie los tesoros históricos menos conocidos de esta ciudad única. Nuestro recorrido comienza con la imponente Torre de Gálata que domina las bellezas del Bósforo y la Ciudad Vieja. Lo llevamos fuera de la principal ruta turística hacia los multiculturales Fener, Balat y Ayvansaray. Estos son los antiguos barrios de Estambul donde termina oficialmente Constantinopla, lo que significa que admiramos las murallas bizantinas sobrevivientes y descubrimos iglesias históricas, mezquitas, sinagogas, casas tradicionales e incluso los restos de un palacio. Termine nuestro recorrido con un relajante viaje en ferry a lo largo del Cuerno de Oro.

Veremos un gran panorama de Estambul desde lo alto de esta torre. Una de las vistas más distintivas de la ciudad, esta gran fortificación que data de 1348 fue erigida por italianos genoveses.

En la época otomana, Beyoğlu (entonces conocido como Pera) era el Barrio Europeo de Estambul. Hogar de embajadas y centros comerciales, así como bellas casas de apartamentos de estilo parisino del siglo XIX.
El puente basculante que cruza el Cuerno de Oro proporciona un vínculo real y simbólico entre dos partes importantes de Estambul.
Halic (Golden Horn) significa entrada en inglés que separa las secciones antigua y nueva de Estambul. Las vistas de este cuerpo de agua son magníficas, especialmente al amanecer o al anochecer.
El Patriarcado Ecuménico es reconocido como el centro espiritual (básicamente el “Vaticano”) de los cristianos ortodoxos orientales.
Las coloridas calles de Fener y Balat te esperan. Se podrían describir los barrios combinados de Ayvansaray, Balat y Fener como una crónica en miniatura de los tiempos bizantino, otomano y moderno. Estas calles han albergado al más influyente de los imperios junto con sus monumentos; albergaba un mosaico de comunidades.
Se trata de una curiosa iglesia neogótica pintada de blanco y curiosamente formada por perfiles de hierro fundido. Construido o debería decir "fundido" en Viena en 1896 y transportado hasta Estambul.

Las murallas de Constantinopla fueron las mayores fortificaciones de la época medieval. Con varias torres y puertas, grandes secciones aún permanecen más o menos intactas en la actualidad.
La ciudad histórica de Estambul, la única ciudad del mundo ubicada en dos continentes, fue la capital de tres grandes imperios; Imperio romano, bizantino y otomano.

Kim was exceptional, super friendly, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend to anyone who want too see and experience some out of the beaten path. It was worth it. Kim even put a special touch and stopped to get tea and baklava. Yummy. Very special trip.
The tour was fantastic—our guide Erol was extremely knowledgeable about historic facts and dates, explaining how much the city has changed while taking us to great spots for photos. Travelling by tram and ferry was smooth because he had everything perfectly organised, and we even stopped to enjoy some delicious sweets along the way. Even though it was low season and we were the only ones on the tour, he never rushed; he took his time, explained everything in detail, and made the whole experience feel personal and memorable. The tour was fantastic, especially thanks to our guide Ergil, who was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. We began at the Galata Tower, enjoying a beautiful panoramic view of Istanbul. Then we explored the historic neighborhoods of Balat and Fener, full of colorful streets and rich multicultural history. A very pleasant walk combining great views, culture, and authentic local atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Loved the Galata Tower and its fascinating history. Erol gave us a great deal of interesting information about the entire area including its history and its architecture. We also stopped for some delicious sweets. Erol is a great guide. He spoke so passionately and knowledgeably about the area and answered all our questions very thoroughly. Some of the streets were rather steep, which made walking a little difficult at times but Erol was very thoughtful and helpful. Thank you for an interesting tour.
