A brilliant day touring and learning about the fascinating city that is Old Town Istanbul. So many interesting places and people. Oguzhan was the best guide - so knowledgeable, polite and an excellent photographer! Highly recommend this tour.
Our guide, Oguzhan, was extremely knowledgeable and offered very informative and clear descriptions of what we were seeing. It was a very hot day and he was always very aware of that and our limits ma king sure we were rested and hydrated. The cafe where he took us for lunch was very good and even though we were staying at a five star hotel, this cafe’s food was superior. Any time you have an opportunity to have this delightful young man as your guide, take it!
What a wonderful tour. We were so fortunate to have Oguzhan as our guide. His knowledge is phenomenal. Although we've been to Istanbul before we felt that Oguzhan's commentary gave us a special insight to its history. He is a also a very enthusiastic and kind person who was a pleasure to be with.
If you’re visiting Istanbul, I can’t recommend Oguzgan enough. An incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and friendly tour guide who brought the city’s history and culture to life. Every question was answered with enthusiasm, and we discovered so many hidden gems we would have completely missed on our own. Without a doubt, it was the best money we spent during our trip. Thank you for making our visit so memorable!
Really informative tour. My guide, Oguzhan was extremely detailed and had a ton of info to share. Very personable. You dont stay in any one place for too long, and get to see a lot of the most popular tourist places in Old Town. I did this tour my first day and it was a great way to learn the history and see all major sites in the area.
I had very little time to spend in Istanbul on a recent trip in May. I hired Buket as a private guide to help me see a few sites one morning before my plane departure that afternoon. She picked me up promptly at my hotel (Vogue Hotel Supreme) and we travelled on foot. She was outstanding and is very knowledgeable about the history and stories surrounding the sites. Buket is friendly and easy to engage in conversation. She planned the tour perfectly and got me back to my hotel to easily catch a ride to the airport. Somehow, she managed to help me squeeze in Topkapi Palace and the Hagia Sohpia in the limited time that I had. She also added the Blue Mosque, which was not on the original itinerary but nearby, for which I’m grateful. I highly recommend Buket as a guide in Istanbul.
Mustafa was highly recommended to me by a friend who had recently been in Istanbul. Thus, I hired him for a day. I had a limited amount of time and was traveling solo. I was staying at a hotel near many of the sights, at the Vogue Hotel Supreme. Mustafa picked me up on time directly from the hotel at the beginning of the tour. Having Mustafa as a private guide made the sightseeing efficient and enjoyable, because I didn’t have to waste time determining how to navigate from one place to another. He also timed the visits to avoid lines. We travelled on foot and by tram to the different sights: Bosphorus Cruise, Dolmabahçe Palace, Taksim Square, İstiklal Street, and Karaköy. Mustafa is friendly, informative, and highly knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited. He easily engages in conversation. It was a pleasure getting to know him. He also gave me the space and time to explore on my own. At the end of the tour, he took me to an excellent restaurant off the beaten track and offered comments on different foods that were new to me. He went well beyond the call of duty. As we were organizing the tour, I had many questions to which he responded quickly. I had specific requests that he creatively built into the itinerary. He had a good sense for what I was interested in seeing and learning. There was a half of a day before my flight home for which I wanted to hire him a second time. Although he had already been hired by someone else, he went out of his way to identify another excellent guide who was available. His colleague was very impressive, and I had a wonderful experience despite the short length of that tour. Like my friend before me, I highly recommend Mustafa as a guide in Istanbul.
Our guide (Ozzy) was fantastic!!! Very knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions. He has a deep knowledge of history, architecture, art and culture. Izzy’s English is also perfect and the use of the earpiece listening devices made the one day tour of these amazing sites even better, especially in crowded areas I was traveling alone but would love to have Ozzy guide me and my wife when we travel through Istanbul together in a few years
A great walking tour and our guide Oguzhan was simply the best! He was so friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about his subject that he brought the buildings and history to life and made the tour really interesting, informative and fun! The lunch stop was excellent too. Would definitely recommend.
Our guide, Ozzie, was extremely knowledgeable providing information about the history of Istanbul in great depth and detail. He was friendly and personable as well as professional and we had fun spending the day with him seeing the wealth of sites that Istanbul has to offer. Also being an artist, Ozzie composed some great photos for us to remind us of the beauty of Istanbul.
