La Casa de la Virgen María es un santuario católico ubicado en la falda de la montaña Bulbul en Selcuk. Se descubre después de que una monja en Alemania describió el lugar en sus visiones sobre una casa que vivió la Madre María antes de morir. Se ha convertido en un importante lugar de peregrinación para los católicos desde entonces.
Descubre una de las ciudades comerciales más populares del antiguo imperio griego y romano. Éfeso es probablemente el sitio antiguo más famoso de Turquía. Era un centro comercial ocupado como ciudad portuaria. Éfeso tuvo una gran influencia en el mundo antiguo. También como un importante centro religioso del cristianismo primitivo y una de las siete iglesias mencionadas en el Libro de las Revelaciones. El Templo de Artemisa es una de las Siete Maravillas del Mundo que se completó en 550 a. C. se encuentra en las afueras de Éfeso. Es un santuario construido en un lugar sagrado. El templo en sí se remonta al siglo VIII a. C., pero el lugar sagrado se remonta a mucho tiempo atrás. Ha sido destruido tres veces y reconstruido. Pero ha sido abandonado después de que los cristianos comenzaron a gobernar el área.

We are a group of 6 adults who did the Ephesus tour with Yunis. Booking was straightforward. Communication with the tour operator and guide was easy via WhatsApp. We knew what to expect and were kept informed. Pickup was right on time. The van was modern, comfortable and air conditioned. It ended up that we were the only group and Yunis made it feel just like a private tour, customizing the itinerary to match our preferences. Yunis was polished and professional, giving historical and local insights as we walked together through the whole site. We went in at the top gate, down the main street and Yunis pointed out the temples, fountains, houses and taverns. He showed us an active archeological dig, explaining how Ephesus was discovered and how much has been excavated. We saw the Library of Celsus, the amphitheater (that is actually a theatre because it is a semi circle - thanks Yunis!) and the new Ephesus experience museum. What a spectacular and awe inspiring place and what a treat to be guided by such a professional. Amazing!

Our tour guide was Güfte. She was amazing and I would personally recommend her. She speaks perfect English, has been a guide for over 13 years and is a local of Kusadasi. She is so knowledgeable and shared her wealth of expertise. We traveled in a comfortable air conditioned Mercedes van and the driver even provided us with ice water. There were opportunities to see cultural Turkish experiences and buy rugs, pottery and leather. Sadly we had no space in our luggage so didn’t get anything. There was no pressure and the experience was great. I would highly recommend and ask for Güfte!
