My favorite lady has a real love for flamingos, so I decided to surprise her by booking the Flamingo Encounter at Jungle Island. 🦩❤️ She was fortunate enough to have a private encounter, and she absolutely loved every minute of it. Ryan, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and made sure not a moment of the experience was wasted. We were able to take plenty of photos and videos, capturing some wonderful memories along the way. It was a truly special experience, and in my opinion, well worth the money. Seeing her excitement and happiness made it even more worthwhile. Sometimes the best experiences are the ones you get to share with someone special. ❤️🦩

We had a nice time visiting with the family, the walking paths are well Maintained and shaded which makes a visit in July comfortable. We also took advantage of the water slides and bounce park. One suggestion is to tell William the manager of gust relations to allow folks to use the cabans in a down power, he made an effort to kick us out from the cabans during a storm when we were trying to take shelter for a few minutes. For the record, non of the cabans were rented and we did spend $50 dollars on 4 beers. So giving us 10 minutes in the canana while waiting for the storm to pass and keep my 70 year old mother in law dry would not have hurt you.

We drive from Fort Lauderdale every time we’re in town just to do the capybara interaction. Kids love it and always entertaining to see the different animals and learn a little more

On paper, this place should have been absolutely awesome. They've done everything right with the layout which included sheltered walkways in case it started raining, music in the background, places to sit down and rest, a delightfully creative decor... and somehow the vibe still felt a bit sad and subdued. I hope it was just because it was a random Thursday afternoon. The birds in the aviary did look rough, and it wasn't clear why some of the cages in the main area were so small. Speaking with the staff there, who were all extremely friendly, we learned that many of these birds were pets that had outlived their owners (and given the macaws' emotional intelligence, that must have been traumatic). Their wings weren't clipped but, having spent most of their lives in captivity, they hadn't learned to properly fly. For that, they would get support and training from the staff here. Also with staff intervention, one bird was actively recovering from a severe case of anxiety and had finally stopped plucking its feathers. As for the birds in the small cages, we were told that they were regularly rotated. By the way, this was the first time we'd seen non-matching pairs of macaws. Another couple was a pair of male hyacinth macaws. I guess they don't judge companions based on gender or the color of their feathers -- a reminder for us all. The chief reason why we were there, however, was for the animal encounters, specifically the capybaras, and that was lovely. The time we were given to interact with the animals was extremely generous. Capybaras are pretty chill animals, and the one we played with the most just kinda rolled over at some point, offering us its belly, and proceeded to fall asleep. We didn't purchase the professional photos they took, as we had taken plenty of pictures and videos ourselves. The happiest and liveliest animals at Jungle Island, funnily enough, seemed to be the tortoises in the walk-through enclosure / aviary. They were active and super cute (they had personality?) and they loved having their shells brushed. There was also the option to experience the park from above with the Treetop Trekking option, which is run by an outside company. It looked really, really cool, but the pricing looked really, really less cool. The price could be justified given necessary safety standards, regular checks, staff time, equipment, etc., but we skipped it because we'd already used up our budget on the capybaras. The popcorn snack we got onsite was decent (the lady at the stand was very nice). There were other animals like lemurs, a sloth, flamingos. You could purchase food to feed the fish in the pond (we didn't). The gift shop was alright but too big for the humble amount of merchandise options; the snacks were the most exciting thing there. Also, Google Maps took us to a parking lot with no signage directing us to Jungle Island and we, for a moment, thought we were in the back of a factory. Overall, I went in thinking Jungle Island would be a fun and joyful place for families, but during the week, it felt closer to a retirement home for animals, which is also fine. We weren't wow'ed, but we had a good enough time.

Things we learned on our day at Jungle Island... don't judge a book by its cover, great staff can make a fun day unforgettable, Capybaras are exactly as cute and glorious as they look. Full disclosure, we booked an animal experience and this was what made the day truly special. Walking in we thought we had made big mistake given the number of plastic animals sitting in the borders of the path. How wrong we were. It's a delightful maze of a place, full of interesting animals in every nook and cranny. It has plenty of outlets for food and drink, helpful staff and a really calm atmosphere. But the real magic was in the animal experience. Our son loves Capybaras. So we booked the feeding and petting experience for both the adult and baby Capys. It could not have been better. And this is where we met Ryan. He's the senior keeper there (sorry, don't know his official title) and he took us and the others who had booked, into the adult Capy enclosure and gave a brief safety talk and how to feed them and stroke them. Watching our son with these animals was magical. The baby capy experience was even better. It was just us, it was the last booking of the day, and so Ryan let us stay with them for a while longer. He is a lovely man. His love and care for the animals is visible from space and the way they respond to him tells you all you need to know about how well they are cared for. He was so good to talk to. He has a fascinating history, a load of great celebrity visit stories and really spoiled us. I shall say no more... go there yourself and find him and make your day far better than you ever imagined.

It was a nice experience if you like different types of birds and animals. I really good place for families and children.

To flee, my dear: $160 for 5 people!!!! From the entrance, no indication to access the park or to find your way around. Very little variety of animals, cramped enclosures, concrete in the rabbit enclosure, and a smell of sewage near the flamingos. The park can be visited very quickly and clearly does not justify the asking price. I do not recommend this activity Avoid if you are looking for a rich or educational outing

In our stay in miami we went, because we gave my son the 30' with a capibara, which with what they cost could already be an exclusive visit but no, it is with 3 other people. In the park there are only parrots, rabbits, goats and flaingos. Don't spend money on animal feed because it's only for flamingos. Don't waste your time!

My child had an **amazing experience** at **Jungle Island** Spring Break Camp! The animal interactions were the absolute highlight — petting goats and rabbits, meeting the sloth, feeding the giant Seychelles tortoises, and chatting with the talking parrots made it unforgettable. Our group had 10 children aged 7 to 11, and some families even traveled from other cities just for this camp! We loved the outdoor activities in the perfect spring weather — not too hot and no rain at all. In case of rain, they had indoor classroom options ready, which is super convenient and something not every outdoor camp offers. The parking for campers was free, very close, and incredibly easy. We also got a 50% early-bird discount, so the whole week (9 AM to 3 PM) came out to less than $300 — much cheaper than paying for each activity separately. Every day included lunch, a book about each animal, and as a special gift they gave us a cool t-shirt! The snacks were delicious, the crafts were creative and fun, and the staff was so kind, patient, and engaging. A huge thank you to Miss Rebecca and Miss Anna — you made the week extra special! Highly recommend!

I will NEVER go here again here is my takeaway! -price is so high for amount of entertainment you get to see. They had some weird circus in town which just displayed a bunch of women flashing their privates thru splits and other acts. The whole place looks absolutely run down. The cages for the animals were super small and look very much unkept, I felt so bad for the animals. Many of them were in distress and had no water and rotten food in their cages and half eaten cardboard boxes with rotten food. The emus were pecking at their enclosure to get out. Once again most animals had no water to drink. The cages smelled god awakful and you can tell nobody has cleaned them. I lost my breath at the smell of the flamingo lake, it was so bad! I was gagging trying to get away.This place needs to be inspected and shut down for animal cruelty in my opinion. Everything was super expensive, they charged extra for every single activity. Save your money and go to a different place. I will be reporting this place!
