I loved the whole museum and especially the story it told. I feel like I learned a lot about Frida’s life which helps me better understand her art. I truly appreciate how they deeply cared for each other with Diego.
This tour is a good hack if you’re like me and didn’t book Frida Kahlo Museum tickets in advance. However, the tickets are much more expensive than retail, and the customer service is pretty poor. I bought my tickets the night before, and didn’t have them even an hour before the start of when I was supposed to go. I tried texting and calling multiple times with no response. Finally, someone texted me the tickets just in time for me to go. The experience was unnecessarily stressful. Just send the tickets on time or have someone handling customer service!
Overpriced in comparison with local ticket prices. Almost double to triple the price and they are just selling the tickets. There was no tour and no one from Amigo Tours showed up.
I made 2 different reservations. 1 I did in May and you honored the other one for 6 people you divided first to change my times to 4:30pm and then cancel it. That confirmation number is : 1753979405 booking reference: 1371186691. This is unacceptable specially when I planned the reservation since April. I am coming from another country to enjoy and this happens. Plus the museum told me that you guys Viator and Amigos tour do the same thing all the time.
The tickets arrived on time and were legit. No issues with the tour company. They were super responsive and helpful. Worked out perfectly as we had not booked in time for Casa Azul and they were sold out for the time we were visiting. Buying through Amigo Tours allowed us to see Frida’s home and it was an amazing experience.
Now for a first time visitor, absolutely go to these two museums and also the Casa Roja and Museo de Culturas Populares, also in Coyoacan. A spectacular neighborhood for just walking around, having good coffee, having good ice cream, visiting the park, and spending a whole day.. and do not miss going to the market. If, like me, you go to Mexico City often, you can probably skip the.Casa Azul if you have been in the last five years.
It was a beautiful experience, everything was very organized, it is important that you arrive in time, you enter punctual.
The garden is beautiful, and you get to see some of the rooms as they were for example the kitchen, her bedrooms and the study. But you should know in advance that it’s only some of their unfinished paintings there

she is one of the greatest artist of the 20th century! But unless you have a truly exceptional child, and not all children are exceptional, your kids are going to be bored to death there. If you have small children, please don't bring them here. If your children are acting up or close to any of the artwork exhibits, the cards will tell you to leave. It's not a place for your children to run around and do whatever they want! They can't touch anything, and they need to remain respectful and not yell and scream. By acting as though you gave birth to the second coming of the Lord, the rest of the people there were truly there to examine our art and learn about her have a diminished experience after paying quite a lot of money for the tickets. Bring your children to a waterpark and not to this place! Wait until they are adults and they can go there themselves and enjoy the experience.
It was a great experience. We highly recommend it. Especially if you wait until last minute to buy an entrance ticket.
