Embassy Row : Arquitectura, mansiones & intriga internacional

Meet at DuPont Circle and stroll through beautiful area of DC. Walk by large mansions along detached walks with a canopy of trees. Learn about some of the people who built the mansions and what happened to them. We heard about a famous diamond and two different car bombings. You learn about all the presidents that lived in the neighborhood before and after their terms. We got to see the Dupont Circle fountain running. We also got to walk down the DC Spanish Steps. A beautiful way to enjoy a nice day.

We loved it! Vicky was very fun and knowledgable. We learned stuff about the city we had never known, and she gave great recommendations for lunch after.

Today we took the Embassy Row tour with Vicky. I would highly recommend this tour. First, Vicky was an exceptional tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable, very personable, and provided a wealth of information about Embassy Row and the Mansions in the Dupont Circle area. It was clear she really enjoyed the opportunity of sharing this historical information with the group. Second, the time length of the tour was ideal and the amount of walking was not strenuous at all. Finally, the communication from the company and tour guide prior to the tour was excellent. There were clear and concise instructions regarding the meeting place. I have been coming to DC for years but this was the first time venturing north of the National Mall area to explore. It was time well spent. I look forward to future tours with this company.

I recently took the “Embassy Row: Architecture, Mansions, and International Intrigue” tour and came away thoroughly impressed. The guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and engaging, offering a wealth of interesting historical and architectural insights throughout the walk. It was clear the guide was a local, which added an extra layer of depth—along with great recommendations for things to do after the tour. The pace was relaxed and the route was easy to walk, making it enjoyable and accessible for all ages. The neighborhood itself is beautiful, filled with stunning mansions and fascinating stories tied to international diplomacy and Washington’s past. As a fun bonus, we even crossed paths with a DC mayoral candidate during the tour, which added a unique and memorable moment. Overall, this was a well-organized, informative, and enjoyable experience. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore one of Washington’s most elegant and intriguing areas.

This was a great tour filled with the type of details that go beyond the structures of the actual embassies. Viki, our tour guide, has an incredible knowledge base and you can tell she enjoys sharing her love of the content with her group. It was a small group which was perfect. We had a lot of opportunity for questions. Viki also has a friendly demeanor which made the tour that much more enjoyable. Highly recommend. There is so much more to Embassy Row beyond the bricks and mortar!

This tour and tour guide (Becca) were exceptional. Highly recommend if you are interested in beautiful mansions from the Gilded Age that have now been purchased by countries to house their diplomatic missions to the US. Lots of scandalous stories, too! Loved every minute of the tour.

He was excellent with a lot of knowledge about subjects that are not normally covered on tours. He was also helpful with transportation directions.

Tyler was a excellent tour guide who provided great stories and background information, while setting a nice pace for exploring Washington's Embassy Row. He very comfortably answered our questions. Great tour!

This tour is ok if you know nothing about history. But do not expect to learn accurately. The guide made many errors in "facts". Route was not unique. Do a walk on your own with Google as you go.
